WELLINGTON, THURSDAY, MAY 7, 1936.

Intimating His Majesty's Assent to the Shipping and
Seamen (Safety and Load-line Conventions) Act,
1935, and fixing Date of coming into Operation.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the Constitution Act it is provided
that no Bill specially reserved for the signification of His Majesty’s pleasure thereon shall have any force of authority in New Zealand until the Governor-General shall signify either by speech or message to the Legislative Council and the House of Representatives, or by Proclamation, that such Bill has been laid before His Majesty in Council, and that His Majesty has been pleased to assent to the same:
And whereas a certain Bill intituled “An Act to make Provision for giving Effect in New Zealand to certain International Conventions relating to Shipping,” the Short Title of which is “The Shipping and Seamen (Safety and Load-line Conventions) Act, 1935” (hereinafter called “the said Bill”), was passed by the Legislative Council and the House of Representatives, and was presented for His Majesty’s assent to the Governor-General, and was reserved for the signification of His Majesty’s pleasure thereon:
And whereas by the said Bill it is provided that the same shall come into operation on the day on which His Majesty’s assent thereto is notified by the Governor-General by Proclamation published in the Gazette, or on such later date (being not later than three months after the date of publication of the Proclamation aforesaid) as is specified in that behalf in the Proclamation:
Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance of the provisions of the Constitution Act, do by this Proclamation signify and proclaim to all whom it may concern that the said Bill has been laid before His Majesty in Council, and that His Majesty has been pleased to assent to the same, and in pursuance of the provisions of the said Bill I do further declare and proclaim that the same shall come into operation on the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-six.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 28th day of April, 1936.

Land proclaimed as a Road, and Road closed, in Block I, Karioi Survey District, Raglan County, and the Land contained in the Road closed added to a Pilot and Signal Station Reserve.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as a road the land in Karioi Survey District described in the First Schedule hereto; and do hereby proclaim as closed the road described in the Second Schedule hereto; and also do hereby declare the land comprised in the road closed, being adjacent to the reserve likewise described in the said Second Schedule, to be added to the said reserve.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
LAND PROCLAIMED AS A ROAD.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land proclaimed as a road: 4 acres 0 roods 27 perches.
Being portion of part Allotment 15, Karioi Parish; coloured red.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
ROAD CLOSED AND LAND ADDED TO A PILOT AND SIGNAL STATION RESERVE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road closed and added to Pilot and Signal Station Reserve: 2 acres 3 roods 34 perches.
Adjoining or passing through part Allotment 15, Karioi Parish, being portion of a Pilot and Signal Station Reserve (being reserved by notice dated the 17th day of February, 1883, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 19 of the 22nd day of the same month, at page 253), and Lot 1 on D.P. 13913, being part Allotment 4, Karioi Parish; coloured green.
All situated in Block I, Karioi Survey District (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 27106.)
All in the Auckland District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 89611, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 29th day of April, 1936.
