PAHIATUA COUNTY COUNCIL.

SPECIAL ORDER MAKING AND LEVYING A CONSOLIDATED SPECIAL RATE.

WHEREAS the Pahiatua County Council has exercised the powers conferred upon it by Part II of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932–33, and has converted into new securities the securities of all loans subject to Part II of the said Act in accordance with the provisions of the Pahiatua County Loans Conversion Order, 1935, and as security for all such new securities issued thereunder has made and levied a consolidated special rate on a uniform basis over all rateable property within the County of Pahiatua, and is now desirous of making and levying a special rate on a uniform basis as security for the securities issued in respect of its loans which are not subject to Part II of the said Act, and which are set out in the Schedule hereto, the Pahiatua County Council hereby makes and levies by way of special order pursuant to the powers conferred upon it by section 7 of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Amendment Act, 1934, a special rate of three forty-firsts of a penny (3/41d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the said County of Pahiatua, to provide the annual interest, sinking-fund instalments, repayment of principal, and other charges in respect of the securities of its loans which are not subject to Part II of the said Act, and that such special rate shall be made and levied on a uniform basis over the whole of the said County of Pahiatua and shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such securities and be payable yearly on the first day of September in each and every year until such securities are fully paid off. Such uniform special rate shall be in lieu of the several special rates described in the Schedule hereto made and levied as security for the several loans described in the said Schedule.

We, the undersigned, certify that the foregoing special order was passed at a properly constituted special meeting of the Pahiatua County Council held at the County Council Chambers, Pahiatua, on Saturday, the 7th day of March, 1936, at 12 o’clock noon, and was confirmed at a subsequent meeting held on the 4th day of April, 1936.
