NOTICE is hereby given that a meeting of New Blenheim Motors, Limited, will be held on Thursday, the 23rd day of April, 1936, at which a resolution for voluntary winding up is to be proposed, and that a meeting of the creditors of the said company will be held pursuant to section 234 of the Companies Act, 1933, at the office of G. CENTRAL WAIKATO ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
(a) “ THAT, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Central Waikato Electric-power Board’s Special Loan, £50,000, 1936,” authorized to be raised by the Board under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of constructing and erecting transmission-lines, transformer-stations, and all other fittings and appliances for conveying, transmitting, and distributing electricity in the special-rating area as hereinafter defined, including the purchase of all necessary land, buildings, material, plant and tools, and all payments for labour, engineer’s fees, plans and supervision, and for compensation to owners of property in respect of such works, the said Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-eighth of a penny (⅛d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the special-rating area comprising the whole of the Central Waikato Electric-power District with the exception of that portion of the County of Raglan included in the Central Electric-power District by Order in Council published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 27th day of March, 1930, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years or until the loan is fully paid off.
(b) “ That the sum of eight hundred and seventy-four pounds six shillings and twopence (£874 6s. 2d.) per annum out of the proceeds of the said special rate of one-eighth of a penny (⅛d.) in the pound shall be and is hereby permanently appropriated and pledged for the purpose of securing the payment of forty (40) debentures of four hundred and thirty-seven pounds three shillings and one penny (£437 3s. 1d.) each issued as security for the Central Waikato Electric-power Board’s Special Loan of £12,500, 1936, being portion of Special Loan, 1936, £50,000.”
We hereby certify that the above is a true copy of resolution passed by the Central Waikato Electric-power Board at a meeting of the Board held at Hamilton on the 15th day of April, 1936.

THE HALIFAX FIRE INSURANCE COMPANY.
NOTICE OF CESSATION OF BUSINESS.
THE Halifax Fire Insurance Company has given notice to the Public Trustee, pursuant to the provisions of the Insurance Companies’ Deposits Act, 1921–22,—

That the Halifax Fire Insurance Company has sold to the Hartford Fire Insurance Company, Limited, all its insurance business in New Zealand.

That from and after the 31st day of March, 1936, the Halifax Fire Insurance Company will not carry on in New Zealand the business of fire insurance and other classes of insurance business within the meaning of the Insurance Companies’ Deposits Act, 1921–22, and its amendments.

That the Hartford Fire Insurance Company, Limited, has undertaken to accept all liability arising under any policies issued by the Halifax Fire Insurance Company or under any renewals of such policies.

That the Halifax Fire Insurance Company proposes to withdraw its deposit of £27,500 in respect of fire insurance and other classes of insurance business within the meaning of the Insurance Companies’ Deposits Act, 1921–22, and its amendments.
The Public Trustee therefore gives notice that the said sum of £27,500 deposited with the Public Trustee pursuant to the provisions of the above-mentioned Act will be repaid to the Halifax Fire Insurance Company on or after the 30th day of September, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-six, unless the Public Trustee is satisfied before that date that any liability of the Halifax Fire Insurance Company in respect of fire insurance and other classes of insurance business within the meaning of the Insurance Companies’ Deposits Act, 1921–22, and its amendments, has not been fully liquidated or provided for.
