PALMERSTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Palmerston Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :—

“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Palmerston Borough Council Athenæum Rebuilding Loan of £1,000, 1936, authorized to be raised by the Palmerston Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of rebuilding on the present site—namely, Section 14, Block XXVII, Town of Palmerston—a combined library, reading-room, and librarian’s residence, and for the purpose of demolishing the existing buildings on the said site, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twenty-one hundredths of a penny (21/100d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Palmerston, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable annually on the first day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fourteen (14) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
