I, GEORGE ALEXANDER MONK, Chairman of the Horowhenua County Council, do hereby certify that pursuant to the provisions of subsection (2) of section 9 of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932–33, a resolution was duly passed at a special meeting of the Horowhenua County Council held on the 14th day of December, 1935, and confirmed at an ordinary meeting of the Council held on the 11th day of January, 1936, providing for the issue under Part II of that Act of new securities in conversion of existing securities issued in respect of the loans set forth in the First Schedules to the Horowhenua County Loans Conversion Orders, 1935 (Nos. 1 and 2), as published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 91 of the 6th December, 1935, at pages 3763 and 3768 thereof.

The Rangitikei County Loans Conversion Orders, 1935 (Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7).

I, KENNETH WARING DALRYMPLE, Chairman of the Rangitikei County Council, do hereby certify pursuant to the provisions of clause 4 of each of the above-mentioned conversion Orders that resolutions providing for the issue of new securities in conversion of the existing securities affected by the provisions of the said conversion Orders were duly passed at special meetings of the Rangitikei County Council held on the 19th day of December, 1935, and were duly confirmed at special meetings of the Council held on the 11th day of January, 1936.

ELTHAM COUNTY COUNCIL.

CONVERSION under the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932–33, and the Eltham County Loans Conversion Order, 1935, of debentures or other securities issued in respect of the following loans:—

Notice is hereby given to the holders of debentures or other securities issued in respect of the above-mentioned loans that the Eltham County Council intends to convert all such debentures or other securities (except those in respect of which dissent is duly signified) into new debentures having new maturity dates and bearing interest at 4¼ per cent. per annum. The conversion will take effect from 31st January, 1936. Application for conversion must be made in writing and be accompanied by the securities to which it relates. Dissent from conversion of any existing debentures or other securities may be signified by the holder by notice in writing delivered to the County Clerk at the County Office, Stanners Street, Eltham, on or before the 14th day of February, 1936. If notice of dissent from conversion of any debentures or other securities is not received by that date the securities will be converted. The rate of interest on any debentures or other securities in respect of which dissent is signified as aforesaid will, by virtue of section 18 of the above-mentioned Act, be reduced to two-thirds of the original rate as from 31st January, 1936. Further particulars as to the new debentures and the conversion generally may be obtained from the County Clerk, Eltham County Council, Eltham, or from Messrs. J. H. Francis and Co., Ltd., 161 A.M.P. Buildings, Wellington.
