Land taken for the Purposes of a Courthouse in the Borough of Ashburton.

A PROCLAMATION.
I N pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a Courthouse; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twenty-third day of January, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-six.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken : 2 roods. Being part Reserve 766 (formerly Sections 224 and 225, Town of Ashburton).
Situated in the Borough of Ashburton (Canterbury R.D.).
In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 90437A, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 10th day of January, 1936.

Land taken for Waterworks Purposes in Block XII, Belmont Survey District, Makara County.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for waterworks purposes, and shall vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Wellington as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the twenty-third day of January, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-six.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land taken :- A. R. P. Being Portions of 0 0 9.82 Parts Section 14, Har-{Coloured yellow. 0 O 22.04} bour R.D. ,, red.
Situated in Block XII, Belmont Survey District. (S.O. 3058.)
In the Wellington Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 90978, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Declaring a Portion of Railway Land at Turangarere to be Crown Land.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section thirty-five of the Public Works Act, 1928, it is provided that in the case of any land taken, purchased, or acquired for a Government work, and not required for that purpose, the Governor-General may, on recommendation by the Minister, by Proclamation declare
such land to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1924, and thereupon the land may be administered and disposed of under that Act accordingly :
Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor - General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by section thirty-five of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1924.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land : 1l acres 3 roods 34 perches.
Portion of railway land (part Raketapauma 2B No. 1 Block), Block VIII, Maungakaretu Survey District, Rangitikei County. (S.O. 244/16.)
In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 3848, deposited in the office of the Government Railways Board at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 23rd day of December, 1935.

Appointment of Hospital Board Representative.(H. Hos. 17.)
GALWAY, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 8th day of January, 1936.
Present :
THE Hon. M. J. SAVAGE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section fifty-eight of the Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1926, it is provided that when and so long as in any part of a hospital district there is no contributory local authority the Governor-General may, if he thinks fit, having regard both to the population and to the rateable value of the property in any such part of a hospital district, by Order in Council in the month of December in each year appoint such number of members as he thinks fit as representatives of that part of the district on the Board :
And whereas the Marlborough Hospital District was constituted as from the thirty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and thirty, by Order in Council dated the twenty-first day of January, one thousand nine hundred and thirty, and published in the Gazette on the twenty-third day of January then instant, at page 158 :
And whereas the Sounds County, being a county in which the Counties Act, 1920, is not in force, is a part of the Marlborough Hospital District in which there is no contributory local authority :
And whereas by section one hundred and fifty-one of the said Act it is provided that the Governor-General may from time to time by Order in Council make all such regulations consistent with the said Act as he thinks necessary or expedient for carrying into full effect the provisions thereof:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the said Act, doth hereby declare by way of regulation under the said Act that an appointment of a member as a representative of the Sounds County on the Marlborough Hospital Board may now be made, and that the member so appointed shall, unless his office sooner becomes vacant, hold office until the appointment of his successor, and in pursuance of such regulation doth hereby appoint
Albert Henry Derbyshire
to represent the Sounds County on the Marlborough Hospital Board.
