Triennial Election of Members of Teachers' Superannuation Board.

Wellington, 4th February, 1936.

IN pursuance of regulations made under the Public Service Superannuation Act, 1927, I hereby certify that for the triennial election of members of the Teachers' Superannuation Board constituted by the said Act, the following nominations were received: For the North Island, Francis Albert Garry and Thomas Kane; for the South Island, William Fulton Abel and John Gunn Polson.

As the number of persons nominated does not exceed the number of vacancies to be filled, I hereby declare that Francis Albert Garry, Thomas Kane, William Fulton Abel, and John Gunn Polson are duly elected members of the said Board.

JOHN MORRISON, Assistant Registrar of Incorporated Societies, do hereby declare that, as it has been made to appear to me that the Canterbury Photo Engravers' Guild, Incorporated, is no longer carrying on business the aforesaid society is hereby dissolved in pursuance of section 28 of the Incorporated Societies Act, 1908.

CROWN LANDS NOTICES.

Lands in North Auckland Land District for Selection.

North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, 12th February, 1936.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned sections are open for selection under the Land Act, 1924; and applications will be received at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, up to 4 o'clock p.m. on Monday, the 16th March, 1936.

The land described in the First Schedule may, at the option of the applicants, be purchased for cash, or on deferred payments, or be selected on renewable lease. The land described in the Second Schedule may be selected on renewable lease only.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, on Wednesday, the 18th March, 1936, at 10.30 o'clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

SECOND-CLASS LAND.

Mongonui County.—Opo Survey District.

SECTION 63, Block V: Area, 70 acres 1 rood 24 perches. Capital value, £70. Deposit on deferred payments, £5: Half-yearly instalment on deferred payments, £2 2s. 3d. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £1 8s.

Weighted with the sum of £14 (to be paid in cash) for improvements, comprising fencing and shelter plantation of pines.

Situated on the Awanui-Houhora Road, access being from Awanui by fourteen miles of main road. The area comprises undeveloped rolling country covered in scrub with soil of a sandy loam resting on sandstone formation; watered by springs. Altitude 80 ft. to 100 ft. above sea-level.

NOTE.—Subject to drainage easement 25 links wide in favour of the Crown.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

SECOND-CLASS LAND.

Whangarei County.—Ruakaka Parish.

(Exempt from payment of rent for three years.*)

ALLOTMENTS 39 and S.W. 40: Area, 292 acres 1 rood. Capital value, £150; half-yearly rent, £3.

These sections are situated in the vicinity of Ruakaka on an unformed road which is a branch of Sail Rock Road, also unformed. Access is by nine miles of tar-sealed road and four miles of unformed road from Oakleigh. Access is suitable for the passage of stock only, and no better access will be provided.

Area consists of about 150 acres of heavy bush, 50 acres of heavy manuka and bush, balance being open scrub land. Soil is of clay resting on clay formation; well watered by stream through centre of sections. Altitude 75 ft. to 300 ft. above sea-level.

These sections comprise poor land and are considered to be more suitable as a run-off to some settler in the vicinity than as a separate holding.

*Rent exemption is conditional upon improvements to the value of rent being effected annually in addition to the requirements under the Land Act, 1924.
