A PPLICATION having been made to me for the issue of a
new certificate of title in the name of WILLIAM
MOTHERWELL, of Ophir, Labourer, for 2 roods, more or
less, situated in the Town of Manuherikia, being Sections 1
and 2, Block II, of the said town, and being the whole of the
land comprised and described in certificate of title, register-
book Vol. 67, folio 106 (Otago Registry), and evidence having
been lodged of the loss of the said certificate of title, I hereby
give notice that it is my intention to issue such new certificate
of title at the expiration of fourteen days from the date of the
Gazette containing this notice.

E VIDENCE having been furnished of the loss of Memo-
randum of Lease No. 5971 from the MAYOR, COUN-
CILLORS, and CITIZENS of the City of Dunedin to WILLIAM
JAMES LEE, of Dunedin, Carpenter, registered against
Lot 2, deposited plan 2638, part Allotment 14, South Dunedin
Endowment, and being part of the land in certificate of title,
Register-book Vol. 192, folio 213 (Otago Registry), and
application having been made to me for the issue of a
provisional lease in lieu thereof, I hereby give notice that it
is my intention to issue such provisional lease accordingly at
the expiration of fourteen days from the date of the Gazette
containing this notice.

PRIVATE ESTATE BILL.
A PRIVATE ESTATE BILL INTITULED “ THE WILLIAM GEORGE
DAVID BROWN TRUST ACT, 1936.”
N OTICE is hereby given that George Kinniburgh Brown,
of No. 55 Glen Road, Kelburn, in the City of Welling-
ton, as executor and trustee of the will and codicil of William
George David Brown, of Wellington, Gentleman (deceased),
intends to apply by petition to the General Assembly of New
Zealand at its next session for the passing of a Private Estate
Bill, the short title of which is as above, to effect the following
objects :—
(a) To provide that the Board of Trustees referred to in
paragraph 4 of the will of the said William George David
Brown (deceased) shall consist of—
(i) The person from time to time holding the office of Mayor
of the City of Wellington;
(ii) The person from time to time holding the office of
Chairman of the Wellington Hospital Board ;
(iii) The person from time to time holding the office of
trustee of the will ;
and to constitute the said Board of Trustees a body corporate
with perpetual succession and a common seal.
(b) To make provision for any person temporarily acting
as Mayor of the City of Wellington or Chairman of the
Wellington Hospital Board to act as a member of the Board of
Trustees in certain circumstances.
(c) To make provision for the representation on the Board of
Trustees of any corporate trustee of the will.
(d) To make provision in the event of any member of the
Board of Trustees declining to act or resigning.
(e) To validate the acts of the Board of Trustees notwith-
standing any vacancies or defective appointments.
(f) To confer on the Board of Trustees constituted as pro-
vided in the Bill all the powers conferred by the will of the
said William George David Brown (deceased) on the Board of
Trustees constituted by the said will, and to make provision
for the payment of certain moneys by the trustee of the said
will and not by the Board of Trustees as provided in the said
will.
(g) To make provision for the finality of the resolutions of
the Board of Trustees.
Printed copies of the proposed Bill will, on or before the
28th day of February, 1936, be deposited at the office of the
Examiner of Petitions for Private Bills, Parliament Buildings,
Wellington.
