TIMARU HARBOUR BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, section 30 of the Local Legislation Act, 1935, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Timaru Harbour Board hereby resolves as follows :—

“ That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of principal, interest, and other charges on the Timaru Harbour Board Renewal Loan of £150,000, 1936, authorized to be raised by the Timaru Harbour Board for the purpose of repaying the Timaru Harbour Board Redemption Loan, 1916, £100,000, and the Timaru Harbour Board Redemption Loan, 1916, £132,000, the said Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of twenty-nine one-hundred-and-twenty-eighths of a penny (29/128d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Timaru Harbour District, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable annually on the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of sixteen (16) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

CHANGE OF NAME.

I, JAMES EDWARD TAYLOR, of Auckland, in the Dominion of New Zealand, Plumber, heretofore called and known by the name of JAMES MANN, hereby give notice that on the 29th day of November, 1935, I renounced and abandoned the use of my said surname of Mann and assumed the surname of Taylor, and also the second christian name of Edward ; and, further, that such change of name is evidenced by a deed dated the 29th day of November, 1935, duly executed by me and attested and enrolled in the office at Auckland of the Supreme Court of New Zealand on the 3rd day of December, 1935.

COROMANDEL COUNTY COUNCIL.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

In the matter of the Counties Act, 1920, and of the Public Works Act, 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Coromandel County Council proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts to execute a certain public work—namely, the deviation of the Coromandel-Kennedy’s Bay Main Road—and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken :

Notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Clerk to the said Council, situate at the Council Chambers, Kapanga Road, Coromandel, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours :

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers.

AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

Tamaki Water-supply Loan, 1935, £16,900.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Rating Act, 1925, and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council doth hereby resolve as follows :—

“ That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of sixteen thousand nine hundred pounds (£16,900) authorized to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts, and to be known as the Tamaki Water-supply Loan, 1935, £16,900, for the purpose of providing an adequate water-supply to the District of Tamaki within the City of Auckland, the said Auckland City Council doth hereby make and levy a special rate of one-eighth of one penny (⅛th) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property comprising the whole of the City of Auckland, and that such special rate be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the first day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years from the 5th day of December, 1935, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
