Returning Officers appointed for Maori Electoral Districts.

IT is hereby notified that each of the undermentioned persons has been appointed Returning Officer for the electoral district the name of which appears opposite his name:—

Edward Percy Earle .. Northern Maori Electoral District.
Richard James Thompson Eastern Maori Electoral District.
Robert Preshaw Dykes Western Maori Electoral District.
John Royden Sansom .. Southern Maori Electoral District.

THE following writs for the election of members of Parliament for the Maori electoral districts are published in the Gazette in accordance with the provisions of the Electoral Act, 1927.

Te Tari o te Karaka o nga Riti,
Poneke, 4 o Noema, 1935.

KO nga riti e whai ake nei mo te pootitanga mema mo te Paremete mo nga Takiwa Pooti Maori, tenei ka panuitia ki roto ki te Gazette i runga i nga tikanga o te Ture Pooti Mema mo te Paremete, 1927.

Writ for Maori Election.

To the Returning Officer for the Northern Maori Electoral District.

IN pursuance of section 186 of the Electoral Act, 1927, I hereby authorize and require you to proceed, according to law, to the election of a member of Parliament to serve in the House of Representatives for the Northern Maori Electoral District.

I further direct that you cause the nominations for the said member to be received at the office of the Native Land Court, Native Department, Emily Place, Auckland, not later than noon on the 12th day of November, 1935, and, in the event of the election being contested, that the poll shall be taken on the 26th day of November, 1935.

You are further required to endorse on this writ the name of the person so elected, and to return the writ to me on or before the 14th day of December, 1935.

Dated at Wellington, this 4th day of November, 1935.

A tenei hoki ahau ka whakahau mau e whakarite kia tae nga whakaingoatanga mo tuau mema ki te Tari Kooti Whenua Maori, Tari Maori, kei Emily Place, Akarana, a te 12 o nga haora i te awatea o te 12 o nga ra o Noema, 1935. A ki te meaia i reira kia pootitia te mema, heoi me tu te pooti a te 26 o nga ra o Noema, 1935.

E whakahaua atu ana hoki kia tuhia e koe ki tua o tenei riti te ingoa o te tangata i whakaturia peratia, ka mutu ka whakahoki mai i te riti ki a au a te 14 o nga ra o Tihema, 1935, a mua mai ranei.

I tuhia ki Poneke i tenei te 4 o nga ra o Noema, 1935.

You are further required to endorse on this writ the name of the person so elected, and to return the writ to me on or before the 14th day of December, 1935.
