15. Haulage and Storage Charges, New Plymouth—Breakwater Line.

  1. Goods of Classes A, B, C, D, E, and E rate and a quarter and rate and a half between New Plymouth and New Plymouth Breakwater will be charged 4s. 2d. per ton. Consignments of less than 1 ton will be charged pro rata at this rate instead of the classified or small-lots rate. Minimum charge, 1s. 1d.

  2. The charges on ships’ goods, Classes A, B, C, and D, will be computed in accordance with Regulation No. 129, General Scale of Charges.

  3. Cattle, sheep, horses, and pigs carried between the Moturoa Cattle-yards and the New Plymouth Breakwater will be charged 10s. 6d. per four-wheeled truck; bogie trucks double rate.

  4. Carriages and motor-vehicles not packed in cases or crates conveyed between New Plymouth Breakwater and New Plymouth will be charged as follows:—

    Two-wheeled vehicle .. .. .. .. 7 0
    Four-wheeled vehicle .. .. .. .. 10 0

  5. Goods of Classes A, B, C, and D conveyed between New Plymouth Station and the Taranaki Freezing-works Company’s Siding at Moturoa will be charged 3s. 6d. per ton.

  6. Goods for shipment stored at New Plymouth will be charged 2s. 10d. per ton per week or fraction of a week. Minimum charge, 1s. 5d.

16. Haulage Charges, Napier—Breakwater Line.

Goods hauled between the Napier Harbour Board’s line at Port Ahuriri and the railway-station, or private stores and sidings, at Port Ahuriri will be charged 1s. 5d. per ton; minimum charge per truck, 2s. 10d.

Goods from or for Napier and stations south thereof, other than goods of Classes A, B, C, and D, to Hastings will be charged as follows for haulage between the Napier Harbour Board’s line at Port Ahuriri and the Port Ahuriri Railway-station :—

Wool, 1¼d. per bale.
Timber, 1½d. per 100 superficial feet.
Live-stock, 2s. 10d. per four-wheeled truck.
Other goods, 3d. per ton.

Minimum charge, 3d.

Live-stock loaded into trucks at the stock-yards, Port Ahuriri, and hauled to the ship’s side at the breastwork, Inner Harbour, or to the Breakwater, will be charged 10s. 6d. per four-wheeled truck. Bogie trucks double rates.

17. Cartage Charges between Napier, Wairoa, Gisborne, and Intermediate Points.

Parcels and goods may be booked through to or from the following points via Napier; the following are particulars of the cartage charges to or from Napier :—

— From or to Tongoi, Tutira, Putorino, Kotimaori, Mohaka, Wairoa: to or from Napier. From or to Wharerata, Bartletts, Kopua, Muriwai, Manutuke, Matawhero, Morere, Nuhaka, Gisborne: to or from Napier.

18. Through Booking of Goods, Wellington to Martinborough.

From To Description of Goods. Rate.
Wellington Martinborough Goods of Classes A, B, C, and D 30s. per ton. Small lots pro rata. Minimum charges as follow: Not exceeding 2 qr., 1s. 6d.; exceeding 2 qr., 2s.
Goods of Classes other than A, B, C, and D Appropriate rates to Featherston plus cartage at the rate of 12s. per ton, or in the case of timber at 2s. 9d. per 100 super. ft. Minimum cartage charge, 9d.

The following goods will not be accepted: Fish, pianos, household removals, theatrical luggage and scenery, show exhibits, side-shows, contractors’ plant, and any consignment requiring special delivery arrangements.
