one-fortieth part of a penny (¹⁄₄₀d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of unimproved value) of all rateable property of the district, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such securities and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of September and the 1st day of March in each and every year until the last maturity date of such securities, being the 1st day of March, 1963, or until all such securities are fully paid off.”
The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Upper Hutt Borough Council held on the 11th day of January, 1935.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of SMITH, WYLIE, AND CO., LIMITED.
AT an extraordinary general meeting held at 58 Margaret Street, Sydney, on the 11th day of January, 1935, it was resolved that the company be wound up voluntarily, and that HERBERT MOSS NEWTON, of Chancery Chambers, O’Connell Street, Auckland, be appointed liquidator for the purpose of such winding up.
The winding up of the said company is a members’ voluntary winding up and the necessary declaration of solvency has been filed with the Registrar of Companies.

MANUREWA TOWN BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by Part II of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932–33, and the Manurewa Town Board Loans Conversion Order, 1934 (No. 3), the Manurewa Town Board hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing the half-yearly instalments of principal and interest in respect of the new securities authorized to be issued by the Manurewa Town Board under the above-mentioned Act and Order in conversion of existing securities issued in respect of the loans set out in the First Schedule to that Order, and also the instalments of principal and interest in respect of the unconverted securities issued in respect of such loans, the said Manurewa Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-tenths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the district, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such securities and be payable yearly on the first day of August in each and every year until the last maturity date of such securities, being the twenty-third day of December, 1960, or until such securities are fully paid off.”
The above resolution was passed by the Manurewa Town Board at a meeting held on the 28th day of January, 1935.
