-described in the schedule hereto is required to be taken. A plan of the said land is deposited at the office of the said Council, Queen Street, Wairoa, Hawke’s Bay, and is open for inspection without fee to all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons are called upon to state in writing any well-grounded objections they may have to the execution of the said work or the taking of the said land, and send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the said Council at its office. Date of first publication, the 23rd day of January, 1935.

SCHEDULE.

All those pieces of land containing in the aggregate 31 acres 3 roods 25·3 perches, more or less, being portion of Putere Blocks A 11B 1, A 12A, and A 12B, Block XVIII, and Blocks XIII and XV, Waiau Survey District, situate in the County of Wairoa. As the same is delineated on a plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor of the Land District of Gisborne under No. 1447 (brown), and therein coloured violet, pink, yellow, and sepia.

WAIPA COUNTY COUNCIL.

In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1928.

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Waipa County Council proposes to execute certain public works—to wit, the construction of a public road—for which purpose the following lands require to be taken under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928 (that is to say), firstly, all that piece of land containing one perch and seven-tenths of a perch (more or less), being part of Allotment 110 of the Parish of Pukete; and, secondly, all that piece of land containing nineteen perches (more or less), being part of Allotment 66 of the said Parish of Pukete. As the said pieces of land are delineated coloured red on a plan lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Auckland, under No. 27806.

A plan of the lands required to be taken as aforesaid is open for inspection at the office of Messrs. Swarbrick and Swarbrick, Argus Buildings, Victoria Street, Hamilton. All persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-founded objections to the execution of such works or to the taking of such lands and to send such writing to the Waipa County Council within forty days from the date of the first publication of this notice.

AT a meeting of members of the above-named company held on Tuesday, the 22nd day of January, 1935, at 2 p.m., the following special resolution was passed:—

  1. “That the company be wound up voluntarily.”
  2. “That HAROLD HUGH SYKES, of Dunedin, be and is hereby appointed liquidator.”

UPPER HUTT BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

Conversion Order No. 1, 1934.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by Part II of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932–33, and the Upper Hutt Borough Loans Conversion Order, 1934, the Upper Hutt Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the new securities authorized to be issued by the Upper Hutt Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act and Order in conversion of existing securities issued in respect of the loans set out in the First Schedule to that Order, and also the interest, sinking fund, and other charges in respect of the unconverted securities issued in respect of such loans, the said Upper Hutt Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of threepence and one-hundredths of a penny (3·1⁄100d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of unimproved value) of all rateable property of the district, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such securities and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of September and the 1st day of March in each and every year until the last maturity date of such securities, being the 1st day of March, 1962, or until all such securities are fully paid off.”

The above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Upper Hutt Borough Council held on the 11th day of January, 1935.

Conversion Order No. 2, 1934.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by Part II of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932–33, and the Upper Hutt Borough Loans Conversion Order, 1934, the Upper Hutt Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing the half-yearly instalments of principal and interest in respect of the new securities authorized to be issued by the Upper Hutt Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act and Order in conversion of existing securities issued in respect of the loans set out in the First Schedule to that Order, and also the half-yearly instalments of principal and interest in respect of the unconverted securities issued in respect of such loans, the said Upper Hutt Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of
