Allocating Land reserved and taken for a Railway to the Purposes
of a Street in the City of Wanganui, at Wanganui.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
forms part of land taken for the purposes of
the Foxton—New Plymouth Railway (Aramoho—Wanganui
Branch), and it is considered desirable to allocate such land
to the purposes of a street;
Now, therefore, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and
exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section
two hundred and twenty-six of the Public Works Act, 1928,
and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling
me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the
land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publica-
tion hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a street, and
that the said street shall be under the control of the Wanganui
City Council, and shall be maintained by the said Council
in like manner as other public highways are controlled and
maintained by the said Council.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 1 rood 12·4 perches.
Portion of Railway Reserve, being part 2 of Lot C, Right Bank
of Wanganui River, City of Wanganui. (S.O. 2978.)
In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 3330, de-
posited in the office of the Government Railways Board at
Wellington, and thereon coloured violet.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 12th day of
January, 1935.

Land set apart as an Endowment for Primary Education.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by
subsection nine of section twelve of the Land Act, 1924,
I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion
of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that from
and after the date hereof the land comprised in the pieces
of closed road described in the First Schedule hereto, being
land which is adjacent to the endowment for primary education
described in the Second Schedule hereto, shall be deemed to
be added to the said endowment.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
ALL those areas in the Otago Land District, containing by
admeasurement 2 acres 2 roods 2 perches, more or less, being
Section 1419a, Block XIII, Oamaru Survey District. As
the same are more particularly shown on the plan marked
L. and S. 16/2092, deposited in the Head Office, Department
of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured
red. (Otago plan O. 217.)
SECOND SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Otago Land District, containing by
admeasurement 205 acres 2 roods 27 perches, more or less,
being part Section 32, part Section 33, part Section 1 of 34,
and Section 2 of 34, Block XIII, Oamaru Survey District.
As the same is more particularly shown on the plan marked
L. and S. 16/2092, deposited in the Head Office, Department
of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered
purple.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 16th day of
January, 1935.
