Order in Council consenting to the Raising of a Loan of £110 by
the Tuakau Town Board and prescribing the Conditions
thereof.

BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 23rd day of
January, 1935.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the Tuakau Town Board (hereinafter called
“the said local authority”) proposes, pursuant
to the provisions of section three of the Main Highways
Amendment Act, 1928, to borrow the sum of one hundred and
ten pounds (£110) by a loan to be known as “Main Highways
Loan, 1935” (hereinafter called “the said loan”), for the
purpose of paying its proportion of the cost of sealing work
on the Tuakau–Pohino via Whangarata Main Highway,
Tuakau Town District Division :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred on him by section eleven of the Local Government
Loans Board Act, 1926, as set out in section twenty-nine of
the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other powers and
authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent
to the raising by the said local authority of the said loan for
the said purpose up to the amount of one hundred and ten
pounds (£110), and in giving such consent doth hereby
determine as follows :—

(1) The term for which the said loan or any part thereof
may be raised shall be three (3) years.

(2) The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the
said loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not pro-
duce to the lender or lenders a rate exceeding three pounds
ten shillings (£3 10s.) per centum per annum.

(3) The said loan together with interest thereon shall be
repaid by equal annual or half-yearly instalments extending
over the term as determined in (1) above.

Order in Council consenting to the Borrowing of Moneys by the
North Auckland Electric-power Board by way of Bank
Overdraft.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 23rd day of
January, 1935.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the North Auckland Electric-power Board
(hereinafter called “the said local authority”),
being desirous of borrowing moneys by way of bank overdraft
under section seventy-one of the Electric-power Boards
Act, 1925, has complied with the provisions of the Local
Government Loans Board Act, 1926 (hereinafter called
“the said Act”), and it is expedient that the precedent
consent of the Governor-General in Council, as required by the
said Act, should be given to the borrowing as aforesaid :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred on him by section eleven of the said Act, as set out
in section twenty-nine of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2),
and of all powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf,
doth hereby consent to the borrowing of moneys by the said
local authority under the said section seventy-one, and in
giving such consent doth hereby determine as follows :—

(1) Such borrowing may be from time to time by way of
bank overdraft.

(2) The rate of interest payable from time to time shall not
exceed current bank overdraft rates of interest to best
customers.

(3) The total amount owing of moneys borrowed under this
consent including unpaid interest (if any) shall not at any
time exceed the sum of seven hundred and fifty pounds
(£750).

(4) No moneys shall be borrowed under this authority at
any time after the thirty-first day of March, one thousand
nine hundred and thirty-five.

(5) The authority herein given is in addition to that
conferred by Order in Council issued on the twenty-first day
of February, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-four.

Order in Council consenting to the Advancing by the Rangitikei
County Council of the Sum of £1,000 out of its General Fund
and prescribing the Conditions thereof.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 23rd day of
January, 1935.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the Rangitikei County Council (hereinafter
called “the said local authority”) proposes to under-
take certain capital works—namely, widening the formation
and metalling for the first time on the Watershed Road from
the end of the present metal near its junction with the Kie Kie
Road to its junction with the Te Kumu Road—for the benefit
of a defined part of the district to be known as Watershed
Road Special-rating Area :

And whereas the said local authority, being desirous, in lieu
of raising moneys by special loan for such works, of advancing
the sum required therefor—namely, one thousand pounds
(£1,000), (hereinafter called “the said sum”)—out of its General
Fund, pursuant to the provisions of section forty-five of the
Finance Act, 1933 (No. 2), has complied with the provisions of
the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926 (hereinafter
called “the said Act”), and it is expedient that the precedent
consent of the Governor-General in Council, as required by
the said Act, should be given to the advancing of the said sum :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in
pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
on him by section eleven of the said Act, as set out in section
twenty-nine of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other
powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth
hereby consent to the advancing by the said local authority
out of its General Fund, pursuant to the provisions of section
forty-five of the Finance Act, 1933 (No. 2), for the particular
benefit of the ratepayers of the said Watershed Road Special-
rating Area of the said sum of one thousand pounds (£1,000)
or any part thereof, and in giving such consent doth hereby
determine that the moneys so advanced, together with interest
thereon at such rate, not exceeding three pounds ten shillings
(£3 10s.) per centum per annum, as the said local authority
shall from time to time determine, shall be recouped to the
General Fund by equal annual instalments extending over a
period not exceeding twenty (20) years.

Order in Council varying the Determinations in respect of Part
(£74,000) of the Christchurch Tramway Board’s Loan of
£84,000.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 23rd day of
January, 1935.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by Order in Council made on the thirteenth
day of March, one thousand nine hundred and
thirty-four, and subject to the determinations as to borrowing
and repayment therein set out, consent was given to the
raising in London by the Christchurch Tramway Board
(hereinafter called “the said local authority”) of the sum
of eighty-four thousand pounds (£84,000) by a loan to be
known as “London Renewal Loan, 1934” (hereinafter
called “the said loan”) :

And whereas the said loan has not yet been raised, and it is
expedient to vary the determinations aforesaid in respect
of the sum of seventy-four thousand pounds (£74,000) (herein-
after called “the said sum”), being part of the said loan :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred on him by section eleven of the Local Government
Loans Board Act, 1926, as set out in section twenty-nine of
the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other powers and
authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby vary
the determinations aforesaid in respect of the said sum of
seventy-four thousand pounds (£74,000) by prescribing as
follows :—

(1) The term for which the said sum or any part thereof
may be raised shall not exceed thirty years two months
from the first day of February, one thousand nine hundred
and thirty-five.
