CONVERSION under the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932-33, and the Waipawa County Loans Conversion Order, 1935, of debentures or other securities issued in respect of the following loans:—

Notice is hereby given to the holders of debentures or other securities issued in respect of the above-mentioned loans that the Waipawa County Council intends to convert all such debentures or other securities (except those in respect of which dissent is duly signified) into new debentures having new maturity dates and bearing interest at 4½ per cent. per annum.

The conversion will take effect from 31st July, 1935.

Applications for conversion must be made in writing and be accompanied by the securities to which it relates.

Dissent from conversion of any existing debentures or other securities may be signified by the holder by notice in writing delivered to the County Clerk on or before the 14th day of August, 1935.

If notice of dissent from the conversion of any debentures or other securities is not received by that date the securities will be converted.

The rate of interest on any new debentures or other securities in respect of which dissent is signified as aforesaid will, by virtue of section 18 of the above-mentioned Act, be reduced to two-thirds of the original rate as from 31st July, 1935.

Further particulars as to the new debentures and the conversion generally may be obtained from the County Clerk, Waipawa County Council, Waipawa, or from Messrs. J. H. Francis and Co., Ltd., 161 A.M.P. Buildings, Wellington.

I, GORDON WILLIAM MOORE, M.B., Ch.B., University of New Zealand, 1935, now residing in Ashburton, hereby give notice that I intend applying on the 4th August next to have my name placed on the Medical Register of the Dominion of New Zealand; and that I have deposited the evidence of my qualification in the office of the Department of Health at Christchurch.

WHAKATANE COUNTY COUNCIL.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

In the matter of the Counties Act, 1920, and of the Public Works Act, 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Whakatane County Council proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts to execute a certain public work—namely, the construction of a road—and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken; And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the said Whakatane County Council, situated at the Strand, Whakatane, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours: All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice to the Clerk of the said Council at the said office.

IN LIQUIDATION.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of THE TE HORO SUPPLY STORES, LTD. (in Liquidation).

THE following resolution was passed on the 4th day of July, 1935:—

“Resolved that the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business and that it is advisable to wind up, and that SYDNEY ERNEST BROWN, Public Accountant, Wellington, be and is hereby appointed liquidator for the purposes of such winding up.”

Pursuant to section 300, subsection (7), of the Companies Act, 1933, a meeting of creditors is hereby convened for Friday, the 12th July, at 11.30 a.m., at the Real Estate Auction Rooms, 43 Panama Street, Wellington, to consider any steps which creditors may wish to take in the matter.
