LICENSE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS.
This license is issued under the Water-power Regulations, 1934, and is subject thereto and to the Electrical Supply Regulations, 1927, and the Electrical Wiring Regulations, 1927, and to any regulations made in amplification or amendment thereof or in substitution therefor. -
UTILIZATION OF WATER AND LOCATION OF HEADWORKS.
Water shall be used under this license solely for the purpose of generating electricity, and shall be taken from the stream at a point in Section 4, Block III, Gore Survey District, in the Marlborough Land District, as indicated on the plan marked P.W.D. 88689, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works. -
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORKS.
The licensee is hereby authorized, subject to the conditions hereof, to construct, maintain, and use the following works for the purposes of this license, the position of the said works being indicated on the said plan P.W.D. 88689 :—
(a) Headworks consisting of dam and intake giving a static head of 300 ft.
(b) Head-race and pipe-line from such headworks to the power-house hereinafter described.
(c) Power-house with all necessary equipment, including water turbines, generators, transformers, lightning-arresters, switchboards, switches, exciters, and other appliances for generating electricity. -
DURATION OF LICENSE.
This license shall, unless sooner determined, continue in force until the 31st day of March, 1956. -
SYSTEM OF SUPPLY.
The system of supply shall be as described in paragraph (c) of clause 5 of the Electrical Supply Regulations, 1927. The generating voltage and the transmission voltage shall be approximately 110 volts direct current. -
RENTAL.
For the purpose of assessing the rental or annual sum payable in respect of the license, the licensee shall install a suitable maximum-demand indicator to the satisfaction of the Inspecting Engineer of the Public Works Department, and, failing such installation, the rental shall be determined on the maximum capacity of the generating plant installed. The present plant is rated at 1·65 kilowatts, and falls within the classes described in paragraph (b) of clause (2) of Regulation 6 of the Water-power Regulations, 1934.

Cancelling the Vesting of a Reserve in the Selwyn County Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 3rd day of July, 1935.
Present:
THE HON. SIR ALFRED RANSOM PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is vested in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Selwyn for Road Board purposes :
And whereas it is expedient that the vesting of the said land as hereinbefore referred to should be cancelled, and the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Selwyn have duly consented to such cancellation :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one of section ten of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby cancel the vesting in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Selwyn of the land described in the Schedule hereto.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.
RESERVE 2168, Block XVI, Hororata Survey District : Area, 19 acres 0 roods 32 perches, more or less.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is part of a reserve vested in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Selwyn for a gravel-pit :
And whereas it is expedient that the vesting of the said land as hereinbefore referred to should be cancelled, and the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Selwyn have duly consented to such cancellation :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one of section ten of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby cancel the vesting in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Selwyn of the land described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.
ALL that area, containing by admeasurement 13 acres 0 roods 3 perches, more or less, and being part of Reserve 2285, Block XVI, Hororata Survey District, and bounded as follows : Towards the north-east by Hartnell’s Road, 571·5 links ; towards the south-east by Section 32739, 2599·6 links ; towards the south-west by a public road, 860·2 links ; and towards the north-west by other part of Reserve 2285, 1956·75 links. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 6/5/50, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Cancelling the Reservation over a Reserve in the Totara Survey District, Westland Land District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 3rd day of July, 1935.

THE HON. SIR ALFRED RANSOM PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one (b) of section seven of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby cancel the reservation for ferry purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto ; and doth hereby declare that the said land, being vested in the Crown, is Crown land available for disposal under the Land Act, 1924.
