Additional Land at Tawa Flat taken for the Purposes of the Wellington-Foxton Railway.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Wellington-Foxton Railway to take further land at Tawa Flat in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway :

Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections thirty-four and two hundred and sixteen of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.

APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land :—

Situated in Blocks V and VII, Belmont Survey District, Makara County. (S.O. 2758.)

In the Wellington Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 3548, deposited in the office of the Government Railways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured purple and blue.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 2nd day of July, 1935.

Declaring a Portion of Railway Land, Manai'a Branch Railway, to be Crown Land.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section thirty-five of the Public Works Act, 1928, it is provided that in the case of any land taken, purchased, or acquired for a Government work, and not required for that purpose, the Governor-General may, on recommendation by the Minister, by Proclamation declare such land to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1924, and thereupon the land may be administered and disposed of under that Act accordingly :

Now, therefore, I, George Vere Arundell, Viscount Galway, Governor - General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by section thirty-five of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1924.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 3 acres 0 roods 12·3 perches.

Being railway land adjoining Manai'a Road, Old Manai'a Road, Sections 45, 46, and 47, part Lots 1 and 2, D.P. 575, of Section 23, part Lot 3, D.P. 325, of Section 22, and part Lot 4, D.P. 2903, of Section 24.

Situated in Block XV, Kaupokonui Survey District, Waimate West County.

In the Taranaki Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 3575, deposited in the office of the Government Railways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 2nd day of July, 1935.
