NOTICE is hereby given that the Public Trustee has filed in the Supreme Court an election to administer in respect of the several estates of the persons deceased whose names, residences, and occupations (so far as known) are hereunder set forth.

CROWN LANDS NOTICES.

Education Reserves in North Auckland Land District for Lease by Public Auction.

North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office,
Auckland, 3rd July, 1935.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned education reserves will be offered for lease by public auction at the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, 13th August, 1935, under the provisions of the Education Reserves Act, 1928, and the Public Bodies’ Leases Act, 1908, and amendments.

SCHEDULE.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—EDUCATION RESERVES.

Hobson County.

(Subdivision of Section 31 and part of Section 25, Block XIII, Waipoua Survey District.)

Lot 1: Area, 194 acres 0 roods 30 perches. Upset annual rent, £4 10s.

Lot 2: Area, 212 acres 1 rood. Upset annual rent, £5 10s.

Lot 3: Area, 208 acres 0 roods 20 perches. Upset annual rent, £5 5s.

Lot 1: Situated on the Aranga-Kaiwi Road, with access from Kaihu, seven miles distant. Road is metalled for six miles and a half, the balance being formed cart-road. The nearest school is at Aranga, four miles away. Approximately 100 acres ploughable, balance hilly to steep in the gullies. Soil is all poor to fair quality clay resting on a sandstone formation and is covered in stunted fern and tea-tree; well watered by creeks and spring. Elevation, 300 ft. to 650 ft. above sea-level.

Lot 2: Situated on the Kaihu-Kaiwi Road, eight miles and a half from Kaihu. The road is metalled for six miles and a half, one mile is formed cart-road, and half a mile unformed. Approximately 140 acres ploughable and the balance hilly to steep in gullies. Soil is all fair to poor clay resting on a sandstone formation and is covered with stunted fern and tea-tree; well watered by creeks and spring. Elevation, 300 ft. to 650 ft. above sea-level.

Lot 3: Situated on the Kaihu-Kaiwi Road, four miles and a half from Kaihu, two miles and half of which is metalled and the balance by formed cart-road. Approximately 160 acres ploughable and the balance hilly to steep. Soil is all poor quality clay resting on sandstone formation and is covered in stunted fern and tea-tree; well watered by creeks and spring. Elevation, 300 ft. to 650 ft. above sea-level.

Land in Hawke’s Bay Land District for Selection on Optional Tenures.

District Lands and Survey Office,
Napier, 3rd July, 1935.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section is open for selection on optional tenure under the Land Act, 1924, and applications will be received at the District Lands and Survey Office, Napier, up to 4 o’clock p.m. on Tuesday, 8th August, 1935.

Applicants should appear personally for examination at the District Lands and Survey Office, Napier, on Thursday, 8th August, 1935, at 10.30 o’clock a.m., but if any applicant is unable to attend he may be examined by any other Land Board or by any Commissioner of Crown Lands.

The ballot will be held immediately upon conclusion of the examination of applicants.

SCHEDULE.

HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.

Waipawa County.—Wakarara Survey District.

SECTION 16, Block XIII: Area, 975 acres. Capital value, £610. Deposit on deferred payments, £30: Half-yearly instalments on deferred payments, £18 17s. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, £15 5s.

Weighted with £1,000 for improvements, consisting of cottage, two sheds, 300 chains of boundary, road, and subdivisional fencing, and 450 acres felled, burned, and grassed. This sum may be paid in cash or by a deposit of £100, the balance being secured by an instalment mortgage, term thirty-six years and a half, interest 5 per cent. to a returned soldier, and thirty-four years and a half, interest 5½ per cent. to all others.

Property is situated on Settlement Road, three miles and a half from Hinerua Post-office, thirteen miles from Spring Hill School, twenty-seven miles from Waipukurau Railway-station, and seventeen miles from Ongs Onga Saledyards. About 200 acres are in fair pasture, 250 acres in old danthonia pasture, and 325 acres in natural state. Rough and broken country: watered by permanent streams. The soil is light loam resting on clay and stone. Property is subdivided into four paddocks and is a grazing proposition chiefly suitable for running dry sheep.
