I, CHARLES MATTHEWS, Chairman of the Cook County Council, do hereby certify that pursuant to the provisions of subsection (2) of section 9 of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932-33, resolutions were duly passed at a special meeting of the Cook County Council held on Wednesday, the 10th day of April, 1935, and confirmed at a special meeting of the Council held in the Chambers on Friday, the 26th day of April, 1935, providing for the issue under Part II of that Act of new securities in conversion of existing securities in respect of the loans set out in the First Schedule of the Cook County Loans Conversion Orders, 1935 (Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6), as set out in New Zealand Gazette No. 22 of 29th March, 1935, at pages 932-957.

NOTICE is hereby given that the partnership heretofore subsisting between EDGAR ALBERT GRAEFF and HERBERT HENRY GRAEFF, carrying on business as Bakers at Rotorua under the style or firm name of “Graeff Bros.,” has been dissolved as from the first day of August, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-four.

KAIKOHE TOWN BOARD.

Kaikohe Town Board Loans Conversion Order, 1935.

I HEREBY certify, pursuant to clause 4 of the above-mentioned Conversion Order, that the following resolution was duly passed at a special meeting of the Kaikohe Town Board convened for the purpose and held on the 9th day of May, 1935, and confirmed at a special meeting of the said Board held on the 25th day of May, 1935, and that public notice of the place and date of the confirming meeting and of the purport of the said resolution was given twice in the period intervening between the two meetings:—

“That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by Part II of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932-33, the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1933, and the Kaikohe Town Board Loans Conversion Order, 1935, and all other powers and authorities enabling it in this behalf, the Kaikohe Town Board hereby resolves to issue new securities in conversion of the debentures in respect of the loans aggregating £3,000 comprised in the First Schedule of the Kaikohe Town Board Loans Conversion Order, 1935, published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 12th April, 1935, on page 1120, such new securities to be issued and the conversion effected in terms of the said Loans Conversion Order.”

TE AROHA BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

Antecedent Liability Loan of £5,070, 1935.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Te Aroha Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of the half-yearly instalments of principal and interest in respect of the Te Aroha Borough Council Antecedent Liability Repayment Loan of £5,070, 1935, authorized to be raised by the Te Aroha Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of repaying the Te Aroha Borough Council Antecedent Liability Loan of £7,000, 1922, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twopence and five-eighths of a penny (2⅝d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Te Aroha, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable annually on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen and a half (15½) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a properly constituted meeting of the Te Aroha Borough Council held on Thursday, the 23rd day of May, 1935.

Electric Light Repayment Loan of £3,500, 1935.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Te Aroha Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a properly constituted meeting of the Te Aroha Borough Council held on Thursday, the 23rd day of May, 1935.
