WAIMEA COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESULT OF POLL ON PROPOSAL TO RAISE A LOAN OF £12,000.

PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the rate-payers of the County of Waimea, taken on the 8th day of May, 1935, on the proposal of the Waimea County Council to borrow the sum of £12,000 for the purpose of two-coat bituminous sealing work on certain main highways—

Votes.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 1,776
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 399

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
