Redefining Boundaries of the Borough of Onehunga, the Mount Roskill Road District, and the County of Eden.

PURSUANT to the provisions of section 147 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, the boundaries of the Borough of Onehunga are hereby defined as set out in the First Schedule hereto, the boundaries of the said borough having been altered pursuant to the provisions of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, by an Order in Council dated the 18th day of February, 1935, and published in New Zealand Gazette of the 28th day of February, 1935, at page 556 :

And also in pursuance of the provisions of the said section 147 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, the boundaries of the County of Eden, as affected by the said Order in Council, are hereby defined as set out in the Second Schedule hereto :

And in further pursuance of the provisions of the said section 147 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, the boundaries of the Mount Roskill Road District, as affected by the said Order in Council, are hereby defined as set out in the Third Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

BOUNDARIES OF THE BOROUGH OF ONEHUNGA.

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the southern side of Mount Albert Road, being the north-eastern corner of Allotment 3 of Section 13, Suburbs of Auckland; thence towards the north by the southern side of Mount Albert Road and its production to a point in line with the production of the south-eastern side of Campbell Road; thence by a right line to the intersection of the eastern side of Manukau Road with the north-western side of Campbell Road; thence towards the west by the eastern side of Manukau Road to the southernmost corner of Lot 1 on D.P. 4094; thence towards the north-west by portion of the south-eastern boundary of Lot 1 aforesaid, and by the south-eastern boundaries of Lots 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, and 20 on D.P. 21888, the south-eastern boundaries of Lots 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, and 28 on D.P. 18933, and the south-eastern boundaries of Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 on D.P. 21889, to the south-western boundary of Cornwall Park, as shown on D.P. 2439; thence towards the north-east by the south-western boundary of Cornwall Park to Campbell Road; thence in a north-easterly direction along the north-western side of Campbell Road to a point in line with the north-eastern side of Moana Avenue; thence by a right line to the intersection of the north-eastern side of Moana Avenue aforesaid with the south-eastern side of Campbell Road; thence towards the north-west by the south-eastern side of Campbell Road aforesaid to the westernmost corner of Lot 1 on D.P. 9388; thence towards the north-east by the south-western boundaries of Lots 1, 16, 17, 18, and 19 on D.P. 9388, by the south-western boundaries of Lots 97, 98, 99, 100, 101, 102, 103, and 104 on D.P. 17733, to and across Tawa Road, to and by the south-western boundaries of Lots 105, 106, 107, 108, 109, 110, 111, and 112 on D.P. 17733 aforesaid, to Ngapuhi Street; thence by a right line across Ngapuhi Street to the westernmost corner of Lot 122 on D.P. 17733 aforesaid; thence again towards the north-east by the south-western boundaries of Lots 122 and 135 on D.P. 17733 aforesaid to and across Ngatiawa Street, and by the south-western boundaries of Lots 176 and 191 on D.P. 17733 aforesaid to Paihia Road; thence by a right line across Paihia Road to the westernmost corner of Lot 214, on D.P. 17735; thence again towards the north-east by the south-western boundary of the last-mentioned lot to Rarawa Road; thence by a right line across Rarawa Road, to and along the middle-line of Hauiti Road, to the middle-line of Oranga Avenue; thence in a north-easterly direction along the middle-line of Oranga Avenue aforesaid to the middle-line of Rockfield Road; thence in a southerly direction along the middle-line of Rockfield Road aforesaid to the northern side of Mount Smart Road; thence by a right line across Mount Smart Road to the north-western corner of Allotment 15 of Section 17, Suburbs of Auckland; thence towards the east by the western boundary of Allotment 15 aforesaid; to and across the Auckland-Onehunga Railway, to and by the western boundaries of Allotments 14, 13, 12, and 8 of Section 17, Suburbs of Auckland, to and across Church Street, to the north-western corner of Allotment 4 of Section 17, Suburbs of Auckland; thence again towards the east and towards the north-east by the western and south-western boundaries of Allotment 4 aforesaid, to and across Neilson Street, and by the south-western boundary of Allotment 5 of Section 17, Suburbs of Auckland, to the Manukau Harbour; thence towards the south generally by Manukau Harbour, to and by the south-western boundary of Lot 1 on D.P. 24425, to and by the western boundary of Lot 2 on D.P. 24425 aforesaid, and again by the Manukau Harbour, to and by the south-western boundary of the land reclaimed from the sea, shown on D.P. 23742, and by the southern boundary generally and the north-western boundary of the land reclaimed from the sea, shown on D.P. 23500, to the mean high-water mark of Manukau Harbour at spring tides; thence by Manukau Harbour to a point in line with the western side of Frederick Street; thence to and along the western side of Frederick Street to a point in line with the northern side of Summer Street; thence along that line to the eastern side of Queenstown Road; thence northerly along the eastern side of Queenstown Road to the southern side of Trafalgar Street; thence along the southern side of Trafalgar Street to its intersection with the western side of Pleasant Street; thence by a right line across Trafalgar Street to the south-eastern corner of portion of Allotment 2 of Section 13, Suburbs of Auckland, as shown on D.P. 18483; thence along the eastern boundary of portion Allotment 2 aforesaid and the eastern boundary of Allotment 3 of Section 13, Suburbs of Auckland, to a point on the southern side of Mount Albert Road, the point of commencement.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

COUNTY OF EDEN.

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, bounded towards the north generally by Waitemata Harbour from the Whau River to the Tamaki River; thence towards the east generally by the Tamaki River and the Otahuhu Creek to Portage Road; thence towards the south by Portage Road to Manukau Harbour; thence towards the west and again towards the south by Manukau Harbour to the Borough of Onehunga hereinbefore described; thence by that borough and again by Manukau Harbour to the western side of Portage Road to Karaka Bay; thence towards the west by the western side of Portage Road to the Borough of New Lynn; thence by the Borough of New Lynn to the Whau Bridge; thence across and by the Whau River to Waitemata Harbour, the place of commencement; excluding therefrom the City of Auckland, the Boroughs of Newmarket, Mount Albert, Mount Eden, and One Tree Hill, and the Town District of Ellerslie.

THIRD SCHEDULE.

BOUNDARIES OF MOUNT ROSKILL ROAD DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, bounded commencing at the southern extremity of the eastern boundary of Allotment 75, Parish of Titirangi, on the Manukau Harbour; thence by the boundary of the City of Auckland as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1934, page 590, to and by the boundary of the Borough of Mount Albert as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1924, page 2072, to the Borough of Mount Eden as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1925, page 2912; thence by the southern boundary of the Borough of Mount Eden aforesaid to the boundary of the City of Auckland aforesaid, and by that boundary to the intersection of Pa and Manukau Roads; thence by a right line across the said intersection to and by the boundary of the Borough of One Tree Hill as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1930, page 733, to and by the western boundary of the Borough of Onehunga as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1933, page 1539, to the intersection of the western side of Pleasant Street with the southern side of Trafalgar Street; thence along the southern side of Trafalgar Street to Queenstown Road; thence along the eastern side of Queenstown Road to Summer Street; thence by a right line being a continuation of the northern side of Summer Street to the western side of Queenstown Road; thence by the said western side of Queenstown Road to Frederick Street; thence along the northern and western sides of Frederick Street to the Manukau Harbour; thence by the Manukau Harbour to the point of commencement.

Appointing Saturday as the Statutory Closing-day in the Combined District of Whangarei and Kamo.

———

WHEREAS a poll to determine the statutory closing-day in the combined district of Whangarei and Kamo was duly taken under the authority of section 20 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1921–22, on the 8th day of May, 1935 :

And whereas the Town Clerk of the Borough of Whangarei has notified me that the majority of the votes given at such poll were in favour of the appointment of Saturday as the statutory closing-day in the said combined district :

Now, therefore, I, Adam Hamilton, Minister of Labour, in pursuance of section 20 of the Shops and Offices Act, 1921–22, do hereby appoint Saturday as the statutory closing-day in the said combined district as from the 3rd day of June, 1935.
