Amending Regulations relating to Registration-plates under the Motor-vehicles Act, 1924.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 13th day of May, 1935.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 36 of the Motor-vehicles Act, 1924, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby make the following regulations.
REGULATIONS.

These regulations may be cited as the Motor-vehicles (Registration-plate) Regulations, Amendment No. 2.

These regulations shall be read together with and deemed to form part of the Motor-vehicles (Registration-plate) Regulations, 1934 (hereinafter referred to as “the principal regulations”).

These regulations shall apply to the licensing-year commencing on the 1st day of June, 1935, and subsequent licensing-years.

Regulation 4 of the principal regulations is hereby amended by deleting therefrom the numerals “7¼”, and substituting therefor the numeral “9”.

Regulation 5 of the principal regulations, as amended by Regulation 2 of the Motor-vehicles (Registration-plate) Regulations Amendment No. 1, is hereby further amended by substituting for the figures “301” and “300” in paragraph (a) thereof the figures “601” and “600” respectively.

The forms numbered respectively 1 and 3 set out in the Schedule to the principal regulations are hereby revoked, and the forms numbered 1 and 3 set out in the Schedule hereto are substituted therefor respectively.

On the reverse of the said forms numbered 1 and 3 there shall be set out the provisions of the First Schedule to the Motor-vehicles Act, 1924 (as amended by the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1927, and the Motor-vehicles Amendment Act, 1934–35), or the effect thereof.

Where on an application for registration of a motor-vehicle it is desired also to obtain a license to use the same motor-vehicle, it shall be sufficient to make application on the form numbered 1 in the Schedule hereto.

Where on an application for registration of a motor-vehicle it is not desired to obtain a license to use the motor-vehicle, the said form numbered 1 shall be used with the necessary modifications.
