NOTICE is hereby given that a meeting of creditors of the above company will be held at the office of Mr. N. H. James, Public Accountant, corner of Hall and Chapel Streets, Masterton, on Monday, the 15th inst. at 11 a.m. in pursuance of sections 234 and 300 of the Companies Act, 1933, to consider the appointment of a liquidator and the setting-up of a Committee of Inspection.

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION.

In the matter of section 222 of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of A. KING AND COMPANY, LIMITED (in Liquidation).

NOTICE is hereby given that at a meeting of the above-named company duly convened and held the following special resolution was duly passed :—

  1. That the company be wound up voluntarily.
  2. That ALFRED FRASER, of Foxton, Public Accountant, and EDWARD JOHN HARVEY, of Blenheim, Public Accountant, be and the same are hereby appointed liquidators of the company.

NEW ZEALAND DAIRY BOARD.

IT is hereby notified for public information that in accordance with the provisions of section 23 of the Agriculture (Emergency Powers) Act, 1934, the New Zealand Dairy Board, on the 4th day of April, 1935, fixed the following amounts as the charges to be paid by way of levy on the undermentioned dairy-produce manufactured for sale :—

(a) In the case of butter shipped for export from New Zealand, three sixty-fourths of a penny per pound; and
(b) In the case of cheese shipped for export from New Zealand, three one-hundred-and-twenty-eighths of a penny per pound.

In accordance with Regulation 7 of the Dairy-produce Export Levy Regulations, 1935 (New Zealand Gazette, 28th March, 1935, page 789), all dairy-produce of the classes above mentioned entered for export on and after the 4th April, 1935 (the date of the coming into operation of section 23 of the Agriculture (Emergency Powers) Act, 1934), is subject to the above charges.

CHANGE OF NAME.

I, VERA AGNES BOWLER, of Auckland, Spinster, do hereby give notice that by deed-poll executed by me this day, which is forthwith to be enrolled of record in the office of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, Gisborne District, at Gisborne, I have forever renounced and abandoned the said name and assumed and adopted the name of Valerie Elizabeth Bowler to the end and intent that I shall be hereafter known by the name of Valerie Elizabeth Bowler and by no other name.

AWATERE COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING CONSOLIDATED SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by Part II of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932–33, and the Awatere County Loans Conversion Order, 1934 (No. 1), the Awatere County Council hereby resolves as follows :—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the new securities authorized to be issued by the Awatere County Council under the above-mentioned Act and Order in conversion of existing securities issued in respect of the loans set out in the First Schedule to that Order, and also the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the unconverted securities issued in respect of such loans, the said Awatere County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·32d. in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the district, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such securities and be payable yearly on the first day of July in each and every year until the last maturity date of such securities, being the 1st day of July, 1950, or until all such securities are fully paid off.”

(3) Those who died from accident occurring or disease contracted while training with or attached to the New Zealand Expeditionary Forces of New Zealand.
