VESTING A RESERVE IN THE HAURAKI PLAINS COUNTY COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 1st day of April, 1935.
Present:

His Excellency The Administrator of the Government in Council.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart for water-conservation purposes: And whereas, in the opinion of the Administrator of the Government, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Hauraki Plains:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section nine of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Hauraki Plains, in trust, for water-conservation purposes.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.
Sections 10, 11, and 12, Block II, Piako Survey District: Area, 376 acres l rood 20 perches, more or less.

VESTING A RESERVE IN THE TARANAKI HOSPITAL BOARD.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 1st day of April, 1935.
Present:

His Excellency The Administrator of the Government in Council.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been duly set apart for hospital purposes: And whereas it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Taranaki Hospital Board:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the ninth section of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Taranaki Hospital Board, in trust, for hospital purposes.

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.
Sections 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9, Block XI, Opunake Town: Area, 1 acre 1 rood, more or less.

VESTING THE CONTROL OF A RESERVE FOR A RESTING-PLACE FOR TRAVELLING STOCK IN THE HAURAKI PLAINS COUNTY COUNCIL.

His Excellency The Administrator of the Government in Council.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been permanently reserved for a resting-place for travelling stock: And whereas it is expedient that the control of the said reserve should be vested in the Hauraki Plains County Council:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section seventeen of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby vest the control of the said reserve in the Hauraki Plains County Council.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.
Section 14, Block II, Piako Survey District : Area, 4 acres 3 roods 30 perches, more or less.

VESTING THE CONTROL OF A RESERVE IN THE OWHANGO PUBLIC HALL AND LIBRARY BOARD.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 1st day of April, 1935.
Present:

His Excellency The Administrator of the Government in Council.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto was by Warrant published in Gazette of the thirty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and ten, permanently reserved for a site for a public hall and library: And whereas it is expedient that the control of the said reserve should be vested in a special Board as hereinafter provided:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section seventeen of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby vest the control of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto, for the period of five years from the date hereof (unless previously amended or revoked under the said Act), in the undermentioned persons, namely:

William O'Donnell,
Alexander Silitoe Barber Tate,
Thomas James McKee,
Walter Pywell,
Edwin Percival Gatchell,
William James McVeagh, and
Alexander Devereux,

who are hereby constituted for that purpose a special Board by the name of the Owhango Public Hall and Library Board (herein referred to as β€œthe Board”), with the powers and subject to the conditions hereinafter contained, that is to say,

  1. The Board shall meet for the transaction of business on the second Tuesday of each month at half past seven o'clock p.m. at the Owhango Public Hall, or at such other time or place as may from time to time be fixed by the Board. The first meeting shall be held on Monday, the twenty-ninth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-five, at eight o'clock p.m.

  2. The members of the Board shall at their first meeting, and thereafter at the annual meeting hereinafter mentioned, elect one of themselves to be Chairman, who may join in the discussion, and shall have an original as well as a casting vote. The Chairman shall hold office until the election of his successor.

  3. Special meetings may be convened by the Chairman, provided that two days' notice of such meeting be given to each member, specifying the business to be transacted at such special meeting; and no other business than that so specified shall be transacted at such meeting.

  4. Any three members of the Board shall form a quorum. Any meeting may be adjourned from time to time.

  5. If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at the time appointed for holding the same, the members present shall choose one of their number to be chairman of such meeting.

  6. If by resignation, death, incapacity, or otherwise the seat of any member shall be or become vacant, or if any member absents himself, without reasonable cause, from three consecutive meetings of the Board, the Governor-General shall have power to appoint any other person to be a member of the Board in his stead.
