Cancelling the Vesting of a Reserve in the Geraldine County Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 1st day of April, 1935.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto is vested in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Geraldine, in trust, for a gravel-pit by virtue of an Order in Council dated the eighteenth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven, and published in the Gazette of the twentieth day of that month, the said Order in Council having been issued pursuant to section four of the Public Reserves Act, 1881 :

And whereas it is expedient that the vesting of the said land as hereinbefore referred to should be cancelled, and the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Geraldine have duly consented to such cancellation :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by subsection one of section ten of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, doth hereby cancel the vesting in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Geraldine, of the land described in the Schedule hereto.

RESERVE 2156, Block VIII, Oram Survey District: Area, 6 acres 2 roods 32 perches, more or less.

Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Coromandel Domain.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty-four of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

Two of the members of the Coromandel County Council representing the Coromandel Riding, ex officio,

William John Beech,
Maurice Allister Brook,
William John Denize,
John Harold Lucas,
Frank Shepherd,
Frederick Charles Shortt, and
William Henry Taylor

to be the Coromandel Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto ; and doth hereby appoint Wednesday, the first day of May, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-five, at eight o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Drill Hall, Coromandel, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

Order in Council consenting to the Raising of a Loan of £250 by the Pleasant Point Town Board and prescribing the Conditions thereof.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 1st day of April, 1935.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the Pleasant Point Town Board (hereinafter called “the said local authority”) proposes, pursuant to the provisions of section three of the Main Highways Amendment Act, 1928, to borrow the sum of two hundred and fifty pounds (£250) by a loan to be known as “Main Highways Loan, 1935” (hereinafter called “the said loan”), for the purpose of paying its proportion of the cost of sealing the Town Board’s section of the Timaru-Queenstown Main Highway :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section eleven of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, as set out in section twenty-nine of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the raising by the said local authority of the said loan for the said purpose up to the amount of two hundred and fifty pounds (£250), and in giving such consent doth hereby determine as follows :—

(1) The term for which the said loan or any part thereof may be raised shall be seven (7) years.

(2) The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate exceeding three pounds ten shillings (£3 10s.) per centum per annum.

(3) The said loan together with interest thereon shall be repaid by equal annual or half-yearly instalments extending over the term as determined in (1) above.

Order in Council consenting to the Raising of a Loan of £68,000 by the Auckland City Council and prescribing the Conditions thereof.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 1st day of April, 1935.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the Auckland City Council (hereinafter called “the said local authority”), being desirous of raising the sum of sixty-eight thousand pounds (£68,000) by a loan to be known as “Unemployment Relief Loan, 1934” (hereinafter called “the said loan”), for the purpose of carrying out works for the relief of unemployment, has complied with the provisions of the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926 (hereinafter called “the said Act”), and it is expedient that the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council as required by the said Act should be given to the raising of the said loan :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section eleven of the said Act, as set out in section twenty-nine of the Finance Act, 1932 (No. 2), and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in this behalf, doth hereby consent to the raising by the said local authority of the said loan for the said purpose up to the amount of sixty-eight thousand pounds (£68,000), and in giving such consent doth hereby determine as follows :—

(1) The term for which the said loan or any part thereof may be raised shall be thirty-five (35) years in respect of £35,000, and twenty (20) years in respect of £33,000.

(2) The rate of interest that may be paid in respect of the said loan or any part thereof shall be such as shall not produce to the lender or lenders a rate exceeding three pounds five shillings (£3 5s.) per centum per annum.

(3) The said local authority shall, before raising the said loan or any part thereof, make provision for the repayment thereof by establishing a sinking fund under the Local
