purchase of land, and the cost of machinery, plant, materials,
and labour, and all engineering, legal, and survey costs, the
said Waipa County Council hereby makes and levies a special
rate of one farthing (¼d.) in the pound on the rateable value
(on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property
within the boundaries of the County of Waipa, and that such
special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the first day
of April in each and every year during the currency of such
loan, being a period of fifteen years or until the loan is fully
paid off."

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by Part II of the Local Authorities Interest
Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932-33, and the
Wairoa Electric-power Board Loans Conversion Order, 1935
(No. 1), the Wairoa Electric-power Board hereby resolves as
follows:—

"That, for the purpose of providing the half-yearly instal-
ments of principal and interest in respect of the new securities
authorized to be issued by the Wairoa Electric-power Board
under the above-mentioned Act and Order and by section
thirty-one of the Local Legislation Act, 1934, in respect of the
loans set out in the First Schedule to that Order, and also the
interest, sinking fund, and other charges in respect of the
unconverted securities issued in respect of such loans, the said
Wairoa Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a
special rate of one-thirteenth of a penny in the pound upon
the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all
rateable property of the district, and that such special rate
shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such
securities and be payable yearly on the first day of August in
each and every year until the last maturity date of such
securities, being the thirty-first day of March, one thousand
nine hundred and sixty, or until such securities are fully paid
off."

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly
submitted to and passed at a special meeting of the Wairoa
Electric-power Board held at its offices, County Council
Chambers, Queen Street, Wairoa, on Tuesday, the twelfth
day of March, 1935.
