GREEN ISLAND BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by Part II of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932–33, and the Green Island Borough Loans Conversion Order, 1934, the Green Island Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the new securities authorized to be issued by the Green Island Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act and Order in conversion of existing securities issued in respect of the loans set out in the First Schedule to that Order, the said Green Island Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of eightpence farthing (8¼d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property of the district, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such securities and be payable yearly on the first day of June in each and every year until the last maturity date of such securities, being the first day of June, 1951, or until all such securities are fully paid off.”
I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Green Island Borough Council held on the 18th day of December, 1934.

ASHBURTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
Ashburton Borough Council’s Conversion Loan, 1934 (No. 1), £21,000.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by Part II of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932–33, and the Ashburton Borough Loans Conversion Order, 1934 (No. 1), the Ashburton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—
“That, for the purpose of providing interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the new securities authorized to be issued by the Ashburton Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act and Order in conversion of existing securities issued in respect of the loans set out in the First Schedule to that Order, the said Ashburton Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of sixpence (6d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all the rateable property within the borough over which any existing special rate in respect of the loans specified in the First Schedule of the Ashburton Borough Loans Conversion Order, 1934 (No. 1), was made and levied, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such securities and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year until the last maturity date of such securities, being the 1st day of December, 1954, or until all such securities are fully paid off.”
The foregoing resolution was duly carried at a special meeting of the Ashburton Borough Council held on the 10th day of December, 1934.
