RESOLUTION STRIKING SPECIAL RATE.
——
Wharepuhunga Loop Road Special-rating Area Loan of £500.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Otorohanga County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £500 authorized to be raised by the Otorohanga County Council under the above-mentioned Act for metalling the unmetalled portion of Lethbridge’s Road a distance of 68 chains to where it junctions with Adams Road, to metal Adams Road for a distance of three miles thirty chains, connecting the metalled portion of Adams Road south, to metal Kinzett Road a distance of three miles twelve chains to its junction with Wharepuhunga Main Highway, and to metal a distance of thirty-two chains, being the unmetalled portion of Hingaia Road, the Otorohanga County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of nine-sixteenths of a penny in the pound on the rateable value of all rateable property in the Wharepuhunga Loop Road Special-rating Area as described in the Schedule hereto, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

SCHEDULE HEREINBEFORE MENTIONED.

All that area in the Puniu, Mangatautari, and Wharepapa Survey Districts, commencing at the north-west corner of Section No. 5D, Block XVI, Puniu Survey District; thence following the northern boundary to the south-east corner of Section No. 5C; thence in a straight line to the eastern boundary of Section No. 5D; thence following the eastern boundary of the said Section 5D southwards to its junction with the north-west corner of Section 13; thence following the northern and eastern boundaries of the said Section 13 to its intersection with Section 11; thence following the northern and eastern boundaries of Section 11; thence following the county boundary bisecting Sections 10 and 11, Block XIII; thence following the county boundary on the northern and eastern boundaries of Section 9, Block XIII, the eastern boundary of Section 1, Block I, Sections 1 and 6, Block II, the eastern boundary of Section 2 a distance of 40 chains; thence bisecting the said Section 2 at a distance of 40 chains parallel to the northern boundary of the said Section 2 to the Wharepuhunga Road; thence crossing the road to the south-west corner of Section 14, Block V; thence along the southern and western boundaries of the said Section 14, the southern boundary of Section 12; thence across a road continuing in a straight line to the western boundary of Section 2; thence along the western boundary of the said Section 2 and the western boundary of Section 6; thence along the northern boundary of Section 6 for a distance of 30 chains; thence due north bisecting Section 3 to a road; thence across the said road, bisecting Section 2 in a north-westerly direction to the southern boundary of Section No. 12A 1; thence along the southern and western boundaries of the said Section No. 12A 1, along the western and northern boundaries of Section No. 5F; thence along the western boundaries of Sections No. 12A 2B and Section 13 to a point where it branches off at an angle; and thence from the said angle point across Section 5D to the south-east corner of Section 7, Block XVI; thence along the eastern boundary northwards of Section 5D to the point of commencement.

NOTICE is hereby given that at a meeting of shareholders of the above-named company held on the 13th day of December, 1934, the following extraordinary resolution was passed:—

“That the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business and that it is advisable to wind up, and that the company be wound up voluntarily, and that Mr. WILLIAM IDDESON be appointed liquidator.”

Notice is hereby further given that a meeting of the creditors of the above-named company will be held at the office of Robert McIntosh Grant, Esq., Solicitor, 308-311 Chancery Chambers, Auckland, on Wednesday, the 19th day of December, 1934, at 10.30 a.m.

NOTICE is hereby given that at a meeting of the Helensville Town Board held in the Town Board Office, Commercial Road, Helensville, on Monday, 17th December, 1934, the following resolution was passed:—

“That, in pursuance of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and all other authorities it thereunto enabling, the Helensville Town Board hereby resolves as follows: That for the purpose of providing and paying the interest and other charges on a loan of £500 authorized to be raised by the Helensville Town Board under the above-mentioned Act for completion of new concrete storage dam in the Town Board’s catchment-area, the said Helensville Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-fourteenth of a penny in the pound upon the rateable capital value of all rateable property of the Helensville Town District comprising the whole of Helensville Town District, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen years or until the loan is fully paid off, and be payable during the said term on such day or days in each annual rating period as general rates shall from time to time be made payable.”
