Settlement Land in Wellington Land District for Sale by Public Auction.
District Lands and Survey Office,
Wellington, 17th December, 1934.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned land will be offered for sale by public auction for cash or on deferred payments at the District Lands and Survey Office, Wellington, on Wednesday, 23rd January, 1935, at 2.30 o’clock p.m., under the provisions of the Lands for Settlements Act, 1925.
SCHEDULE.
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.—SETTLEMENT LAND.—FIRST-CLASS LAND.
Makara County.—Belmont Survey District.—Hawtrey Settlement.
SECTIONS 17, 18, 20, 22, 24, and 26, Block IV : Area, 2 acres 2 roods 5·7 perches. Upset price, £400.
This property is situated in the Township of Johnsonville, about half a mile from the railway-station, post-office, and school. Buildings consists of a three-roomed bungalow and out-buildings.

Education Reserves in Wellington Land District for Lease by Public Auction.
District Lands and Survey Office,
Wellington, 17th December, 1934.
NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned education reserves will be offered for lease by public auction at the District Lands and Survey Office, Wellington, at 2.30 o’clock p.m. on Wednesday, 23rd January, 1935, under the provisions of the Education Reserves Act, 1928, and the Public Bodies’ Leases Act, 1908, and amendments.
SCHEDULE.
WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.
Featherston County.—Waiohine Survey District.
SECTION 536, Block VIII : Area, 223 acres 3 roods. Upset annual rental, £10.
Improvements (consisting of 108 chains of road and boundary fencing and valued at £78) are included in the rental value of the section.
This section, which is suitable only for grazing, is situated on the Boar Bush Gully Road, four miles and a half from Featherston Post-office, School, and Railway-station, eight miles from Featherston Dairy Factory, and thirteen miles from Greytown Saleyards. Access is by unformed road from Featherston. Consists of high broken country with poor quality soil, on shingle and rock formation ; well watered by permanent streams. Altitude, 100 ft. to 1,000 ft. above sea-level.
Pahiatua County.—Mangahao Survey District.
Part Section 84 and Section 112, Block XIV : Area, 184 acres 2 roods 6 perches. Upset annual rental, £104 6s. Weighted with the sum of £276 3s. 6d. for improvements, comprising cow-byre, bridges and culverts, and 193 chains of road boundary and internal fencing. This sum is payable in cash on the fall of the hammer.
These sections are situated on Dougherty’s Road, two miles from Hukanui School, Post-office, and Railway-station, three miles from Hukanui Dairy Factory, and eleven miles from Pahiatua Saleyards.
Flat to hilly land suitable for dairying and grazing. Soil is fair to good ; well watered by creeks. Subdivided into three paddocks. Section 112 requires some expenditure for drainage of swamp situated therein. The whole area, with the exception of 30 acres of swamp, is in medium pasture.
Term of lease, twenty-one years, with perpetual right of renewal at revaluation.
Possession will be given on day of sale.
