Relief of Distressed Seamen.—Denunciation of Agreement between Great Britain, Denmark, Norway, and Sweden.

WITH reference to the agreements set out in the Schedule hereto between Great Britain, Denmark, Norway, and Sweden regarding the mutual relief of distressed seamen, the following notification, received from the Secretary of State for Dominion Affairs, is published for general information.

SCHEDULE.

It is hereby notified that the undermentioned agreements have been revoked:—

  1. (a) The agreement between Great Britain and Norway dated 12th July, 1881, and published in the New Zealand Gazette, 1881, at page 1281.
    (b) The exchange of notes in 1908.
  2. (a) The agreement between Great Britain and Sweden dated 14th July, 1881, and published in the New Zealand Gazette, 1881, at page 1281.
    (b) The exchange of notes, November 28th–December 12th, 1907.
  3. The agreement between Great Britain and Denmark dated 25th July, 1883, and published in the New Zealand Gazette, 1883, at page 1665.

Administration of Noxious Weeds Act, 1928, in Eltham County.—(Notice No. Ag. 3235.)

THE following resolution passed by the Eltham County Council on the 8th day of December, 1934, is published in accordance with the provisions of section 7 (2) of the Noxious Weeds Amendment Act, 1934.

RESOLUTION.

“THAT in accordance with the provisions of the Noxious Weeds Amendment Act, 1934, the Eltham County Council hereby resolves to assume responsibility for the administration of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1928, within the boundaries of the Eltham County as from 1st January, 1935.

“THAT Harold Edwin Williams be appointed an Inspector for the Eltham County under the above Act.”
