IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section four of the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint
Daniel Robertson Anderson,
Frederick John Andrews,
Charles Edward Berry,
Albert Cederman,
George French,
William Thomas Harris,
David Livingston Kerr, and
Kowhai McLean
to be Honorary Inspectors under the said Act.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 17th day of December, 1934.

Vesting the Control of a Scenic Reserve in the Kirk’s Bush Scenic Board.
BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by section thirteen of the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand doth hereby vest the control of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto (being land reserved under the said Act), for the period of five years from the date hereof (unless previously altered or revoked under the said Act), in the undermentioned persons, namely,—
The Commissioner of Crown Lands for the North Auckland Land District, ex officio,
William Charles Wood,
Alfred Willis,
James McCall,
Ernest Hosking, and
Arthur Butterworth,
who are hereby constituted for that purpose a special Board by the name of the Kirk’s Bush Scenic Board (herein referred to as “the Board”), in trust, for the preservation of scenery, and with the powers and subject to the conditions hereinafter contained, that is to say,—

The first meeting of the Board shall be held on Monday, the fourth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-five, at half past two o’clock p.m., in the North Auckland District Lands and Survey Office, Auckland; and thereafter the Board shall meet for the transaction of business on the first Monday in each quarter at the time and place aforesaid, or at such other time or place as may from time to time be fixed by the Board.

The Commissioner of Crown Lands shall be the Chairman of the Board. He may join in the discussion, and shall have an original as well as a casting vote.

Special meetings may be convened by the Chairman, provided that two days’ notice of such meeting is given to each member, specifying the business to be transacted at such special meeting; and no other business than that so specified shall be transacted at such meeting.

Any four members of the Board shall form a quorum. Any meeting may be adjourned from time to time.

All questions shall be determined by the majority of votes of the members of the Board present at the meeting.

If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at the time appointed for holding the same, the members present shall choose one of their number to be Chairman for such meeting.

If, by resignation, death, incapacity, or otherwise, the seat of any member shall be or become vacant, or if any member absents himself, without reasonable cause, from three consecutive meetings of the Board, the Governor-General shall have power to appoint any other person to be a member of the Board in his stead.

The Board shall prepare and submit at an annual meeting to be held in the month of April in each year a report of the proceedings of the Board for the previous year ending on the thirty-first day of March, together with a statement of the receipts and expenditure of the Board for such year. A copy of every such report and statement, certified by the Chairman to be correct, shall be sent to the Minister in Charge of Scenery Preservation as soon as possible after each annual meeting.

The Board shall control the said reserve in accordance with the provisions of the said Act and of the regulations made thereunder.
SCHEDULE.
KIRK’S BUSH SCENIC RESERVE.
ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 9 acres 3 roods 30·7 perches, more or less, being Lots 1 and 15 to 23, D.P. 15387, being parts Allotments 8 and 11, and part of closed road, Opaheke Parish, Block IV, Drury Survey District.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 12th day of December, 1934.

Notice of Intention to issue an Order in Council revoking the Reservation over the Tangihua Domain, North Auckland Land District.
BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.
WHEREAS by section forty-one of the Public Reserves, Domains, and National Parks Act, 1928 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), it is provided that the Governor-General may from time to time by Order in Council, but subject to compliance with the requirements of subsection two of section seven of the said Act, declare that the land comprised in a public domain or part thereof shall cease to be subject to Part II of the said Act; and, further, may declare either that such land shall be a public reserve for the purposes of Part I of the said Act, or Crown land available for disposal by way of sale for cash under the Land Act, 1924:
And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto is known as the Tangihua Domain but is not required for domain purposes, and it is expedient to revoke the reservation over the said land:
Now, therefore, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby give notice, pursuant to subsection two of section seven of the said Act, that it is my intention to issue an Order in Council under the provisions of section forty-one of the said Act declaring that the Tangihua Domain described in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to Part II of the said Act, and shall be deemed to be Crown land available for disposal by way of sale for cash under the Land Act, 1924.
SCHEDULE.
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—TANGIHUA DOMAIN.
SECTION 33, Block II, Tangihua Survey District: Area, 65 acres, more or less.

Notice bringing certain Lands within the Operation of the Mining Act, 1926.
BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me by section twenty-five of the Mining Act, 1926, and of every other power and authority in this behalf enabling, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be brought within the operation of the Mining Act, 1926, as from the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, and do hereby further declare that no mining privilege shall be granted in respect of any portion of the said lands except with the consent of the Alexandra Borough Council and except with the consent of the Minister of Mines and subject to such conditions as he may impose.
