47c. The following shall be the rates of pay for Armourers and Armament artificers of the New Zealand Army Ordnance Corps, and for fitters, turners, metal riggers, and carpenter riggers of the Royal New Zealand Air Force :—

NOTES.—(a) The “married” rates for personnel enlisted prior to 1st January, 1933, apply only to personnel married on or prior to 31st March, 1933, and are payable only for the rank held on the last-mentioned date, subject to note (b).
(b) The “general” rates apply to all married and single personnel enlisted prior to 1st January, 1933, excepting that any member who was married on or before the 31st March, 1933, may continue to receive the “married” rate for the rank he was holding on that date until such time as he qualifies by promotion for a higher rate under the “general” scale, provided that he is supporting his wife and/or children under eighteen years of age, and further provided that if the rate for those enlisted on or after 1st January, 1933, is higher, he may receive the latter.
Paragraph 52: Add to footnote (c) “will be renewed at Departmental expense when worn out.”
Paragraph 54: After the words “Jackets, denim,” insert “Shoes, canvas, brown.”
Paragraph 71 is hereby amended by deleting the scale shown therein and substituting the following in lieu thereof, with effect from 1st April, 1934:—

Provided that flying-pay as provided for in note (a) to paragraph 47c of these regulations is not to be considered as salary for the purpose of computing travelling-allowance.
Paragraph 97 is hereby amended by deleting the words “Class 5,” and substituting therefor the words “its appropriate class.”
New paragraph 112A: Pay for out-of-camp training as from 1st June, 1934, at the rates specified in paragraph 118 of these regulations may be issued with the approval of the Minister of Defence up to a maximum of ten days to members of coast batteries, and six days to members of all other units in each training year, under such conditions as may be laid down from time to time in General Orders.
Paragraph 116: Add at end:—
“This paragraph shall have no application to pay for out-of-camp training, except such as may be performed in camp in lieu of night or day parades.”
Paragraph 121 is hereby revoked.
Paragraph 124: Add to subparagraph (III):—
“Provided that to meet special or exceptional circumstances, arrangements may be made for the attendance of a medical officer (military or civil) at a camp, course, or depot at such special fee or fees as may be agreed upon, but not exceeding those laid down herein.”
Subparagraph (V): Delete the words “of 6d. per mile,” and substitute “according to scale.”
