Prohibition of Issue of Money-orders and Transmission of Postal Correspondence.
THE Postmaster-General of the Dominion of New Zealand having reasonable ground for supposing that the persons whose names and addresses are shown in the Schedule hereunder are engaged in promoting or carrying out a lottery or scheme of chance, it is hereby ordered, under section 32 of the Post and Telegraph Act, 1928, that no money-order in favour of either of the said persons shall be issued, and that no postal packet addressed to either of the said persons (either by his or her own or any fictitious or assumed name) or addressed to either of the addresses in the Schedule hereunder without a name, shall be either registered or forwarded by the Post Office of New Zealand.

Fixing the Amount of Special Orchard-tax payable in the Marlborough Commercial Fruitgrowing District.—(Notice No. Ag. 3163.)
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by subsection (3) of section 4 of the Orchard-tax Act, 1927, I, John Bitchener, acting for the Minister of Agriculture, hereby order and direct that, in addition to the general orchard-tax payable under section 3 of the said Act, the occupier of every orchard within the Marlborough Commercial Fruitgrowing District shall in each year be liable to pay a special orchard-tax calculated at the rate of one shilling and sixpence (1s. 6d.) for every acre or part of an acre comprised in his orchard and planted with apple-trees, pear-trees, or quince-trees, and do hereby revoke as from the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette the notice prescribing the amount of such special orchard-tax given under the hand of the Minister of Agriculture on the 12th day of January, 1933, and published in the Gazette on the 19th day of the same month, at page 65.

ALTERATION AND RECONSTITUTION OF LOCAL DISTRICTS.
WHEREAS by section 2 of the Public Trust Office Amendment Act, 1921–22, it is enacted that the Public Trustee may, by notice in the Gazette, from time to time establish and define, abolish, alter, and reconstitute local districts for the purposes of the said Act :
And whereas, in pursuance of the said power, a notice establishing and defining the local districts to be controlled by the several District Public Trustees as set out therein was published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 13th April, 1922 : And whereas further notices in pursuance of the said power were published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 10th August, 1922, the 3rd April, 1924, the 19th November, 1925, the 20th June, 1929, the 5th September, 1929, the 11th September, 1930, and the 4th December, 1930 : And whereas it has become expedient to alter and reconstitute the undermentioned local districts :
Now, therefore, in pursuance and in exercise of the before-mentioned powers, I, John William Macdonald, the Public Trustee for the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby alter and reconstitute the local districts controlled by the District Public Trustees at Hamilton and New Plymouth as set out hereunder :—
Local Districts of Hamilton and New Plymouth.
The following area has been removed from the control of the District Public Trustee at Hamilton and placed under the control of the District Public Trustee at New Plymouth. All that area in the Auckland Land District, the boundaries of which are more particularly described as follows : Commencing at the mouth of the Waikaukau River in Block IX, Whareorino Survey District, and proceeding generally easterly along the said river to the northern boundary of Kinohaku West E 1D 2A ; thence north-easterly along the northern boundaries of the said 1D 2A, 1D 2B 2, 1D 2B 1, and Part 1E to the western boundary of Section 5, all in Block X, Whareorino Survey District ; thence southerly along the western boundaries of Sections 5 and 7, and easterly along the southern boundary of the said Section 7 (both being in Block X, Whareorino Survey District) to the western boundary of Section 3, Block XI, of the said survey district ; thence southerly along the western boundary of the said Section 3 to its south-western corner ; thence easterly generally along the southern boundary of the Whareorino Survey District to the middle of the Awakino River ; thence south-easterly generally along the middle of the said river to the Awakino-Te Kuiti Road ; thence north-easterly along the south-east side of the said road to the westernmost corner of Mahoenui 2 No. 5B 2 ; thence south-easterly along the south-west boundaries of the said Sections 2 No. 5B 2 and 2 No. 5B 1 to the south-eastern boundary of the last-mentioned lot ; thence north-easterly along the said boundary to the Waipotipoti Stream ; thence generally easterly along the said stream to its confluence with the Mokau River ; thence generally southerly and westerly along the middle of the said river to the Tasman Sea ; thence northerly along the sea-coast to the mouth of the Waikaukau River, the point of commencement.

NEW ZEALAND.—NORTH ISLAND.—PORT NICHOLSON.
Steeple Rock : Erection of Beacon.
Position : Lat., 41° 19′·4 S. ; long., 174° 50′·8 E. (approx.).
Details : The black buoy off Steeple Rock will be replaced by a white cylindrical beacon exhibiting a flashing light which will be erected in a depth of 30 ft. M.L.W.S., in a position 230° 5·42 cables from the front leading beacon.
Subject to weather conditions, the driving of piles for the foundation will be commenced about the middle of February. The foundation, until the beacon is erected, will carry a depth of 20 ft. M.L.W.S.
Further notice will be given when the beacon is ready to be placed and when the light will be exhibited.
