Notifying Land in the Hawke’s Bay Land District subject to the Land for Settlements Act, 1908.
Department of Lands and Survey,
Wellington, 7th February, 1934.
PURSUANT to the provisions of subsection (2) of section 48 of the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, notice is hereby given that the land described in the Schedule hereto, being the land known as Rissington Settlement, was acquired by the Crown on the 31st January, 1921, and became subject to the provisions of the Land for Settlements Act, 1908, as from that date.
SCHEDULE.
HAWKE’S BAY LAND DISTRICT.—RISSINGTON SETTLEMENT.
ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 2,010 acres 1 rood 6·4 perches, more or less, and being Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 on plan 3874, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Napier, and Lots 7, 8, and 9 on plan 3875, deposited as aforesaid, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, H.B., Volume 49, folio 243.

Hauraki Plains Rating District.—Penalty on Overdue Rates.

Wellington, 1st February, 1934.
IN pursuance of section 76 of the Rating Act, 1925, and the Hauraki Plains Act, 1926, the ratepayers within the district constituted by the last-mentioned Act are hereby notified that 10 per cent. additional will be added to all rates for the year ending 31st March, 1934, unpaid on 12th March, 1934.
Rates may be paid at any money-order office or to the Collector of Rates, P.O. Box 1659, Auckland C. 1.

IN pursuance of section 76 of the Rating Act, 1925, and the Swamp Drainage Act, 1915, and its amendments, the ratepayers within the rating areas constituted by the last-mentioned Act are hereby notified that 10 per cent. additional will be added to all rates for the year ending 31st March, 1934, unpaid on the 14th March, 1934.
Rates may be paid at any money-order office or to the Collector of Rates, Box 1659, Auckland C. 1.

IN pursuance of section 76 of the Rating Act, 1925, and the Rangitaiki Land Drainage Act, 1910, and its amendments, the ratepayers within the district constituted by the last-mentioned Act are hereby notified that 10 per cent. additional will be added to all rates for the year ending 31st March, 1934, unpaid on 7th March, 1934.
Rates may be paid at any money-order office or to the Collector of Rates, Post-office Box 1659, Auckland C. 1.

SPECIAL ORDER.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on it by the Counties Amendment Act, 1931, the Council of the County of Geraldine hereby resolves by way of special order as follows :—
“That sections 121 and 131 of the Counties Act, 1920, shall not apply to the Council.”
The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Geraldine was hereunto affixed at a meeting of the Council of the said County of Geraldine on the twenty-second day of January, 1934, by Kenneth MacKenzie, Chairman of the said Council, pursuant to a resolution of the said Council in the presence of—

Notice respecting Proposed Alteration of Boundaries.—Borough of South Invercargill.

Wellington, 15th February, 1934.
IT is hereby notified that a petition has been presented to His Excellency the Governor-General, under the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, praying that the area described in the Schedule hereto may be excluded from the Borough of South Invercargill and included in the County of Southland. All persons affected are hereby called upon to lodge any written objections to or petitions against the proposed alteration of boundaries which they desire to lodge within one month from the first publication of this notice, such objections or petitions to be addressed to the Minister of Internal Affairs, Wellington.
SCHEDULE.
AREA PROPOSED TO BE EXCLUDED FROM THE BOROUGH OF SOUTH INVERCARGILL.
ALL that area in the Southland Land District, bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the southern side of John Street and the eastern side of Saturn Road; thence easterly along the southern side of John Street to Calypso Road, across Calypso Road, and southerly along its eastern side to the northern side of Tramway Road; thence easterly along the northern side of Tramway Road to the eastern side of Boundary Road; thence southerly along the eastern side of Boundary Road to the southern side of the road forming the southern boundary of the Invercargill Hundred; thence along the southern side of the said road to Lyons Street; thence across Lyons Street and northerly and north-westerly along the western side of Lyons Street and Ferguson Street to the eastern side of Richard Street; thence southerly along the eastern side of Richard Street to a point in line with the western side of Bain Street; thence to and along the western side of Bain Street to the southern side of Stirrat Street; thence by a right line to the western side of Kelly Street; thence along the western side of Kelly Street to the southern side of Ball Street; thence across Ball Street, and westerly along its northern side to the eastern side of Brown Street; thence northerly along the eastern side of Brown Street to Tramway Road; thence easterly along the southern side of Tramway Road to a point in line with the eastern side of Saturn Road; thence to and along the eastern side of Saturn Road to its intersection with the southern side of John Street, the point of commencement.
