FEATHERSTON COUNTY COUNCIL.

Featherston County Loans Conversion Order, 1934 (No. 6).

I HEREBY certify that at a duly convened special meeting held at the County Chambers, Kitchener Street, Martinborough, on the twenty-seventh day of August, 1934, the Featherston County Council duly passed the following resolution:—

That pursuant to the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932–33, and in pursuance of all powers and authorities in it vested, and with the approval of the Local Government Loans Board, the Featherston County Council doth resolve by way of special resolution under section 9 (2) of the above-mentioned Act:—

  1. That the said Council issue new securities in conversion of the existing securities of the loans set out in the Schedule hereto in accordance with the Featherston County Loans Conversion Order, 1934 (No. 6).

  2. That such issue of new securities be known as the Featherston County Conversion Loans, 1934 (No. 6).

  3. That all debentures and coupons (if any) issued in pursuance of this resolution shall be payable at the Bank of New Zealand, Martinborough, and on presentation of any debenture or coupon for payment through any other branch of the said bank in New Zealand the exchange thereon shall be paid by the Council, and a clause to this effect shall be inserted in each debenture and each coupon.

I further certify that the said resolution was duly confirmed after public notification under section 9 (2) of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932–33, at a duly convened special meeting of the said Council held at the Council Chambers, Kitchener Street, Martinborough, on the tenth day of September, 1934.

NOTICE is hereby given that a general meeting of the above company (in liquidation) will be held at my office, Number 24, Safe Deposit Buildings, High Street, Auckland, on Friday, the 9th day of November, 1934, at 10.30 a.m., for the following purposes:—

  1. For laying the account of the liquidation before the meeting and explaining same.

  2. And for submitting, and, if thought fit, passing, the following extraordinary resolution:—

“That the company having been wound up and about to be dissolved, the books of the company up to the date of commencement of liquidation be disposed of by being sent to the destructor.”

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and in the matter of FRED FAIREY, LIMITED, a private company duly incorporated under the said Act.

TAKE notice that on the 12th day of October, 1934, it was resolved by entry in the company’s minute-book, pursuant to section 300 of the Act, by way of extraordinary resolution as follows:—

“That the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business and it is hereby resolved that it be wound up voluntarily, and that CHARLES BERTRAM HODGSON, of Nelson, Public Accountant, be nominated as liquidator.”

And at a creditors’ meeting held on the 17th day of October, 1934, the above nomination of Charles Bertram Hodgson was confirmed.
