CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

Reading (1928) Supplementary Loan, 1934, £22,000.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves as follows :—

“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of twenty-two thousand pounds (£22,000) authorized to be raised by the Christchurch City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of completing the work to be carried out under the Christchurch Roading Loan, 1928, of £220,000 (being 10 per cent. of this loan), the said Christchurch City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of two hundred and nineteen five-thousandths (219/5000ths) of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property comprised within the City of Christchurch, as constituted on the 6th day of September, 1928, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen (15) years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

The foregoing resolution was duly adopted by the Christchurch City Council at its meeting held in the City Council Chambers, Christchurch, on Monday evening, the 29th January, 1934.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership heretofore subsisting between CRAWFORD CLARKE GOODLEY and THOMAS HUGH LOGAN GOODLEY, carrying on business as bakers and pastrycooks under the style or firm name of “Goodley Bros.,” at Waikouaiti, has been dissolved by mutual consent as from the thirty-first day of March, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-three, and that the said business will in future be carried on by the said Thomas Hugh Logan Goodley.
