NOTICE is hereby given that the order of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, Otago and Southland District, made at Dunedin on the 6th day of July, 1934, confirming the reduction of the capital of the above-named company from £60,000 to £45,000, together with the minute approved by the Court showing with respect to the capital of the company as altered the several particulars required by the Companies Act, 1933, was registered by the Assistant Registrar of Companies at Dunedin on the 7th day of July, 1934.

NOTICE is hereby given that the partnership heretofore subsisting between ROBERT HEWLINGS CHISHOLM and ALLAN KEITH VOYCE, carrying on business as hardware merchants at Auckland under the style or firm of “Bigwood and Bigwood,” has been dissolved by mutual consent as from this date. All debts due to and owing by the said late firm will be received and paid respectively by the said Robert Hewlings Chisholm who will continue to carry on the said business under the style or firm of “Bigwood and Bigwood.”

CONVERSION under the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932-33, and the Taihape Borough Loans Conversion Order, 1934 (No. 3), of debentures or other securities issued in respect of the following loans: The Taihape Borough Town Hall, Municipal Chambers, and Library Loan of £4,270, maturing 1st February, 1951; the Taihape Borough Town Hall Additional Loan of £2,000, maturing 1st February, 1953; the Taihape Township Improvement Loan of £17,000, maturing 1st October, 1955; the Taihape Township Improvement Additional Loan of £1,700, maturing 1st July, 1932; the Taihape Water-gravitation Loan of £28,000 (part), maturing 1st May, 1944; the Taihape Oval Domain Improvement Loan of £4,000, maturing 1st December, 1943; the Taihape Abattoir Loan of £5,000, 1924, maturing 1st May, 1944; the Taihape Abattoir Additional Loan of £500, maturing 1st January, 1946; the Taihape Electric-lighting Extension Loan of £4,300, maturing 1st March, 1944; the Taihape Public Works Loan of £1,250, maturing 1st October, 1943; the Taihape Motor Fire-engine and Equipment Loan of £1,000, 1923, maturing 1st December, 1943; and the Taihape Public Works Construction and Improvement and Electric-light Extension Redemption Loan of £15,700 (part), maturing 1st June, 1942.
Notice is hereby given to the holders of debentures or other securities issued by the Taihape Borough Council in respect of the above-mentioned loans that it is intended to convert all such debentures or other securities (except those in respect of which dissent is duly signified) into new debentures having new maturity dates and bearing interest at 4½ per cent. per annum.
The conversion will take effect from the 1st day of August, 1934.
Application for conversion must be made in writing and be accompanied by the securities to which it relates.
Dissent from the conversion of any existing debentures or other securities may be signified by the holder by notice in writing delivered to the Town Clerk, Taihape, on or before the 15th day of August, 1934, or if the holder (or, where the holder is a trustee, any person whose consent would but for the said conversion Order be required for conversion) is during the whole of the period between the 8th day of June, 1934, and the 15th day of August, 1934, absent from New Zealand, then at any time before the 1st day of November, 1934.
If notice of dissent from the conversion of any debentures or other securities is not received by that date the securities will be converted.
The rate of interest on any debentures or other securities in respect of which dissent is signified as aforesaid will, by virtue of section 18 of the above-mentioned Act, be reduced to two-thirds of the original rate as from the 1st day of August, 1934.
Further particulars as to the new debentures and the conversion generally may be obtained from the Town Clerk, Taihape.
