Prohibition of Issue of Money-orders and Transmission of Postal Correspondence.

THE Postmaster-General of the Dominion of New Zealand having reasonable ground for supposing that the persons whose names and addresses are shown in the Schedule hereunder are engaged in promoting or carrying out a lottery or scheme of chance, it is hereby ordered, under section 32 of the Post and Telegraph Act, 1928, that no money-order in favour of either of the said persons shall be issued, and that no postal packet addressed to either of the said persons (either by his or her own or any fictitious or assumed name), or addressed to the addresses in the Schedule hereunder without a name, shall be either registered or forwarded by the Post Office of New Zealand.

THE DANGEROUS DRUGS ACT, 1927, AND THE DANGEROUS DRUGS REGULATIONS, 1928.

THE following is a list of persons and firms licensed under the regulations at the date hereof to deal in all dangerous drugs as defined in the Schedule to the Dangerous Drugs Act. This list does not contain the names of registered chemists, registered medical practitioners, registered dentists, or registered veterinary surgeons who are authorized to deal in dangerous drugs and who do not require to hold a special license issued under the regulations :—

Woodville-Palmerston North Main Highway By-laws.

WHEREAS by section 9 of the Main Highways Act, 1922 (hereinafter called “the said Act”), the powers, rights, duties, and liabilities vested in or imposed on the Governor-General or Minister of Public Works (in the case of Government roads), or vested in or imposed on any local authority (in the case of highways other than Government roads), are, in the case of main highways, transferred to and vested in or imposed on the Main Highways Board (hereinafter called “the said Board”) :

And whereas by authority of the said Act and of the Motor-vehicles Act, 1924, and of all other powers in anywise enabling it in that behalf, the Board made on the 22nd day of April, 1926, and on the 20th day of May, 1926, by-laws which were published in the Gazette dated the 4th day of June, 1926, in respect of that portion of the Woodville-Palmerston North Main Highway from the eastern boundary of the County of Pahiatua to the eastern boundary of the County of Oroua (better known as the Manawatu Gorge Road) :

And whereas the Board by a resolution duly passed at a meeting held at Wellington on the 20th day of June, 1934, decided that such by-laws should be revoked :

Now, therefore, the said Board, acting by authority of the said Act, and of the Motor-vehicles Act, 1924, and of all other powers in anywise enabling it in this behalf, doth hereby revoke the aforementioned by-laws as from the date of publication of this notice in the Gazette.

In witness whereof the common seal of the Main Highways Board is hereto affixed, this 29th day of June, 1934, in the presence of—
