RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
——
No. 1 Conversion Loan of £37,290.

I N pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by Part II of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932–33, and the Otamatea County Loans Conversion Order, 1934 (No. 1), the Otamatea County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“ That, for the purpose of providing the instalments of principal and interest and other charges on the new securities authorized to be issued by the Otamatea County Council under the above-mentioned Act and Order in conversion of existing securities issued in respect of the loans set out in the First Schedule to that Order, the said Otamatea County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of seven-eighths of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the district, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such securities and be payable yearly on the 31st day of July in each and every year until the last maturity date of such securities, being the 31st day of March, 1959, or until all such securities are fully paid off.”

The common seal of the Otamatea County Council was hereto affixed at the office of and pursuant to a resolution of the Otamatea County Council in the presence of—

(Edinburgh), 1925; now residing in Invercargill, hereby give notice that I intend applying on the 11th July next to have my name placed on the Medical Register of the Dominion of New Zealand; and that I have deposited the evidence of my qualification in the office of the Department of Health at Wellington.

In the matter of the Companies Act, 1933, and Pullman Tobacco Manufacturing Company, Limited, Auckland.

I N accordance with section 126 (1) of the Companies Act, 1933, notice is hereby given of the following extraordinary resolution duly carried at an extraordinary general meeting of the shareholders of the company duly convened and held at the registered office, Southern Cross Building, Chancery Street, Auckland, on Friday, 1st June, 1934:—

“ That it having been proved to the satisfaction of the shareholders that the Pullman Tobacco Manufacturing Company, Limited, cannot continue its business it is advisable to wind up the company, and that ISIDOR MELTZER, of Auckland, Public Accountant, be and is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purposes of such winding up.”

N OTICE is hereby given that at a meeting of the shareholders of Morisons Limited held on the 3rd April, 1934, the following special resolution was passed:—

“ That owing to the lack of funds the company cannot by reason of its liabilities carry on business, and that the company go into voluntary liquidation. That the guarantors, Messrs. Bain, Calder, and Hansard, are authorized to appoint a Liquidator.”

I, JOHN BEATTIE, Mayor of the Borough of St. Kilda, do hereby certify that pursuant to the provisions of subsection (2) of section 9 of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932–33, a resolution was duly passed at a special meeting of the St. Kilda Borough Council held on the 23rd day of May, 1934, and confirmed on the 7th day of June, 1934, providing for the issue under Part II of that Act of new securities in conversion of existing securities issued in respect of the loans set forth in the First Schedule to the St. Kilda Borough Loans Conversion Order 1934, as published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 18th day of April, 1934, No. 26, pages 1112 to 1117.
