THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

I, ALFRED IBBOTSON, General Manager of the Perpetual Trustees Estate and Agency Company of New Zealand, Limited, do solemnly and sincerely declare:—

  1. That the liability of the members is limited.
  2. That the capital of the company is £106,250, divided into 25,000 shares of £4 5s.
  3. That the number of shares issued is 25,000.
  4. That calls to the amount of 18s. (eighteen shillings) per share have been made under which the sum of £22,500 has been received.
  5. That the amount of moneys received on account of Estates under Administration during the half-year ended 30th April, 1934, is £302,596 8s. 6d.
  6. That the amount of all moneys paid on account of Estates under Administration during the half-year ended 30th April, 1934, is £311,623 15s. 2d.
  7. That the amount of the balance held to the credit of Estates under Administration during the half-year ended 30th April, 1934, is £42,163 12s. 11d.
  8. That the liabilities of the company on the 1st day of May, 1934, were debts owing to sundry persons by the company—viz.: On judgment, nil; on specialty, nil; on notes or bills, nil; on simple contracts, £107,951 3s. 1d.; on estimated liabilities, nil.
  9. That the assets of the company on that date were: Government securities, £10,880; other securities, £130,177 11s. 5d.; bills of exchange and promissory notes, nil; cash on deposit, £10,048 1s.; cash at bank, £12,857 2s. 11d.

And I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true, and by virtue of the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand intituled the Justices of the Peace Act, 1927.

PAPAKURA TOWN BOARD.

CONVERSION OF LOANS.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Papakura Town Board at a special meeting held on the 14th day of May, 1934, passed a resolution to convert the loans as set forth in the New Zealand Gazette No. 26 of the 18th April, 1934, under the Papakura Town Board Loans Conversion Order, 1934 (No. 1), and the Papakura Town Board Loans Conversion Order, 1934 (No. 2), such resolution being duly confirmed by the Board at its ordinary meeting held on Monday, the 28th May, 1934.

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.

In the matter of the Wellington City Empowering and Amendment Act, 1924, and its Amendments, the Public Works Act, 1928, and the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Wellington City Council proposes under the provisions of the above-named Acts and all other Acts and powers enabling it in that behalf to execute a certain work—namely, for street purposes at Upland Road, Wellington, and for the purpose of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the Public Office of the Town Clerk to the said Council in the Town Hall, Cuba Street, in the said City, and is there open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours, and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or the taking of such land should if they have well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work, or to the taking of the said land, set forth the same in writing and send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Wellington City Council addressed to the Town Clerk at his said office.

SCHEDULE.

All that piece of land situate in the City of Wellington, containing forty-seven hundredths of a perch (0·47 perches), being portion of Lot 390 on deposited plan number 1299, part Section 29, Karori District, coloured purple on the plan above mentioned.

In the matter of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932–33, and the Patea Borough Loans Conversion Order (No. 2), 1934.

I, FRED RAMSBOTTOM, do hereby certify and declare that at a special meeting of the Patea Borough Council held on the 14th day of May, 1934, a resolution was passed the purport whereof being to convert the securities issued in respect of the loans set out in the First Schedule to the said Patea Borough Loans Conversion Order (No. 2) into new securities in terms of the said Order, and that such resolution was duly confirmed at a subsequent special meeting of the said Council held on the 28th day of May, 1934.

Notice is hereby given to the holders of debentures or other securities issued by the Patea Borough Council in respect of the above-mentioned loans that it is intended to convert all such debentures or other securities (except those in respect of which dissent is duly signified) into new debentures having new maturity dates and bearing interest at 4½ per cent. per annum.

The conversion will take effect from 1st August, 1934.

Application for conversion must be made in writing and be accompanied by the securities to which it relates.

Dissent from the conversion of any existing debentures or other securities may be signified by the holder only by notice in writing delivered to the Town Clerk, Post-office Box 44, Patea, on or before the 30th day of August, 1934.

If notice of dissent from the conversion of any debentures or other securities is not received by that date the securities will be converted.

The rate of interest on any debentures or other securities in respect of which dissent is signified as aforesaid will, by virtue of section 18 of the above-mentioned Act, be reduced by two-thirds of the original rate as from the 1st day of August, 1934.

Further particulars as to the new debentures and the conversion generally may be obtained from the Town Clerk, Post-office Box 44, Patea.

PATEA BOROUGH COUNCIL.

SPECIAL CONSOLIDATED RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by Part II of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932–33, and the Patea Borough Loans Conversion Order (No. 2), 1934, the Patea Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the new securities authorized to be issued by the Patea Borough Council under the before-mentioned Act and Order in conversion of existing securities to which the said Order applies, issued in respect of the loans set out in the First Schedule to that said Order, and also to the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the unconverted securities issued in respect of such loans, the said Patea Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one shilling and elevenpence (1s. 11d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of
