AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

Waterworks Extension and Improvement Loan (£150,000) Redemption Loan, 1934.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows :—

“ That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £146,700 authorized to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts and to be known as the ‘ Waterworks Extension and Improvement Loan (£150,000) Redemption Loan, 1934, £146,700,’ for the purpose of redeeming the outstanding liability of one hundred and forty-six thousand seven hundred pounds (£146,700) of a loan of £150,000 which fell due in London on the 1st day of May, 1934, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of four-fifths of a penny (4/5ths) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the City of Auckland, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the first day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-eight years or until the loan is fully paid off.”
