Classification of Road in Buller County.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me by the Transport Department Act, 1929, and the Heavy Motor-vehicle Regulations, 1932, I, Joseph Gordon Coates, Minister of Transport, do hereby approve of the Main Highways Board’s proposed classification and proposed alteration in classification of the road described in the Schedule hereto and situated in Buller County.
SCHEDULE.
BULLER COUNTY.
ROAD classified in Class Three: Available for the use thereon of any heavy motor-vehicle (other than a multi-axled heavy motor-vehicle) which, with the load it is carrying, weighs not more than 6½ tons, or any multi-axled heavy motor-vehicle which, with the load it is carrying, weighs not more than 10 tons :—
Westport-Karamea Main Highway No. 105 (all that portion of the Main Highway from its junction with the road to Little Wanganui Wharf at the south-western corner of Section 21, Block II, Kongahu Survey District, to the northern end of the Karamea River Bridge).

Notification of Exemption from the Renter’s Quota under the Cinematograph Films Act, 1928.
Wellington, 21st March, 1934.
IT is hereby notified that in accordance with the authority contained in section 29 of the Cinematograph Films Act, 1928, exemption has been granted to each of the following named companies, in respect of the year ending 31st December, 1934, from the provision of the aforesaid Act which requires every licensed renter to acquire a stated proportion of British films :—

Redefining Boundaries of the City of Christchurch, the Counties of Waimairi and Heathcote, the Avon Riding of the County of Waimairi, and the Avonside Riding of the County of Heathcote.

PURSUANT to the provisions of section 147 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, the boundaries of the City of Christchurch are hereby defined as set out in the First Schedule hereto, the boundaries of the said city having been altered pursuant to the provisions of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1928, by a Proclamation (hereinafter called the first Proclamation) dated the 21st day of February, 1934, and published in New Zealand Gazette of the 1st day of March, 1934, at page 461, and a Proclamation (hereinafter called the second Proclamation) dated the 21st day of February, 1934, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 1st day of March, 1934, at page 462.
And also in pursuance of the provisions of the said section 147 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, the boundaries of the County of Waimairi, as affected by the first Proclamation, and the boundaries of the County of Heathcote, as affected by the second Proclamation, are hereby defined as set out in the Second Schedule hereto.
And, in further pursuance of the provisions of the said section 147 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, the boundaries of the Avon Riding of the County of Waimairi, as affected by the first Proclamation, and the boundaries of the Avonside Riding of the County of Heathcote, as affected by the second Proclamation, are hereby defined as set out in the Third Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
BOUNDARIES OF THE CITY OF CHRISTCHURCH.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the south-eastern boundary of Rural Section 112 and the north-eastern side of Langdon’s Road, and proceeding thence south-easterly along the said north-eastern side of Langdon’s Road to the north-western side of Main North Road; thence north-easterly along that side of road to the middle of the Papanui Drain; thence south-easterly along the middle of that drain through Rural Sections 308, 307, 302, and 276 to the south-western boundary of Rural Section 1048; thence south-easterly along that boundary to the north-western corner of Lot 25 on plan 6279, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Christchurch; thence along the north-western boundary of Lots 25, 24, 23, 22, 21, 20, 19, and 18 on said plan 6279, and the production of that boundary to a point on the north-eastern boundary of Lot 1 on plan 6313 deposited as aforesaid; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of the said Lot 1 and that boundary produced to the south-eastern side of McFadden’s Road; thence along the south-eastern and south-western sides of McFadden’s Road to and across Innes Road; thence along the south-eastern side of Innes Road to Rural Section 345A; thence along the south-western boundaries of Rural Sections 345A and 2795 to Shirley Road; thence along the south-western side of Shirley Road to its junction with Hills Road; thence along the western side of Hills Road to a point in line with the southern side of Shirley Road; thence easterly along the southern side of Shirley Road to Marshland Road; thence along the middle of Marshland Road to Banks Avenue; thence along the middle of Banks Avenue to a point opposite the confluence of Dudley Creek and the River Avon; thence across the Avon River and along its right bank to a point in line with the western side of Kerr’s Road; thence along the western side of that road to Buckley’s Road; thence along the north-western side of that road to its intersection with the south-western side of Cuff’s Road; thence along a right line being a production of the south-western side of Cuff’s Road to the southern side of Page’s Road; thence easterly and north-easterly along the southern side of Page’s Road to a point in line with the eastern boundary of the land shown on Plan T. 48938, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Christchurch; thence to and along the eastern and southern boundaries of the land shown on Plan T. 48938 aforesaid to Kearney’s Road; thence across Kearney’s Road and along its western side to Ruru Road; thence across Ruru Road and along its south-eastern side, and the eastern side of McGregor’s Road to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Lot 31 on Plan 1957, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Christchurch; thence to the easternmost corner of said Lot 31 and along the south-eastern boundary of the land shown on said plan 1957, to and across Linwood Avenue; thence along the south-western side of Linwood Avenue to the estuary of the Heathcote River; thence by the said estuary and along the left bank of the
