HIS Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased
to approve of the following appointments, pro-
motions, transfers, resignations, and retirements of officers
of the New Zealand Military Forces:—
REGIMENT OF N.Z. ARTILLERY.
2nd Lieutenant L. P. Harker, 9th Field Battery, resigns his
commission. Dated 26th April, 1934.
THE AUCKLAND REGIMENT (COUNTESS OF RANFURLY'S OWN).
The undermentioned Lieutenants, Ist Battalion, are
transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), R.D. 1 :
G. Colledge. Dated 13th April, 1934.
H. C. Sidford. Dated 23rd April, 1934.
Lieutenant E. B. Rout, from the Nelson, Marlborough, and
West Coast Regiment, to be Lieutenant, with seniority
from lst July, 1930, and is posted to the Ist Cadet Battalion.
Dated 13th April, 1934.
THE HAURAKI REGIMENT.
Dudley Hayward Nisbet to be 2nd Lieutenant and is posted
to the Ist Cadet Battalion. Dated 1st February, 1934.
The notice published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 28,
dated 26th April, 1934, relative to the appointment of 2nd
Lieutenant (on probation) Ledger William Allan Crawley
is hereby cancelled.
THE NORTH AUCKLAND REGIMENT.
Lieutenant G. J. Sceats, 2nd Cadet Battalion, is transferred
to the Otago Regiment. Dated 18th April, 1934.
Henry Allan Moffitt to be 2nd Lieutenant (on probation)
and is posted to the 1st Cadet Battalion. Dated lst November,
1933.
THE WELLINGTON REGIMENT.
Lieutenant R. E. Broberg, Regimental Supernumerary List,
is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), R.D. 5.
Dated 16th April, 1934.
Lieutenant A. G. Gillies, from the Reserve of Officers, to be
Lieutenant, with seniority from 27th January, 1928, and
is posted to the 1st Cadet Battalion. Dated 15th December,
1933.
THE TARANKI REGIMENT.
The undermentioned to be 2nd Lieutenants and are posted
to the 1st Battalion. Dated 23rd August, 1933 :—

THE CANTERBURY REGIMENT.
Lieutenant C. E. Fenwick, Regimental Supernumerary

Lieutenant E. B. Rout, 3rd Cadet Battalion, is transferred
to the Auckland Regiment (Countess of Ranfurly's Own).
Dated 13th April, 1934.
THE OTAGO REGIMENT.
Lieutenant G. J. Sceats, from the North Auckland Regiment,
to be Lieutenant, with seniority from 3rd October, 1931,
and is posted to the 3rd Cadet Battalion. Dated 18th
April, 1934.
THE SOUTHLAND REGIMENT.
Captain R. D. Cox, 1st Battalion, is transferred to the Reserve
of Officers, Class I (b), R.D. 9. Dated 20th April, 1934.
Lieutenant M. C. Rice, Regimental Supernumerary List, is
posted to the 1st Battalion. Dated 23rd April, 1934.
N.Z. AIR FORCE.
Flight Lieutenant F. C. Chichester, No. 2 (Bomber) Squadron,
is posted to the Retired List, with permission to retain
his rank and wear the prescribed uniform. Dated 24th
April, 1934.
Flying Officer I. A. McGregor, No, 2 (Bomber) Squadron, is
transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), R.D. 6.
Dated 26th April, 1934.
N.Z. ARMY SERVICE CORPS.
Lieutenant F. Carpenter, 2nd Composite Company, is trans-
ferred to the Reserve of Officers, Class I (b), R.D. 5. Dated
24th April, 1934.
N.Z. MEDICAL CORPS.
Captain H. L. H. Steele, E.D., M.R.C.S. Eng., ceases to be
attached to No. 2 (Bomber) Squadron, N.Z. Air Force.
Dated 11th April, 1934.
Captain J. M. Twhigg, M.D., M.R.C.P. Lond., ceases to be
attached to the 5th Field Battery, N.Z.A., and is attached
to No. 2 (Bomber) Squadron, N.Z. Air Force. Dated 11th
April, 1934.
Captain R. J. Maunsell, M.B., ceases to be posted to the 2nd
Field Ambulance and is attached to the 5th Field Battery,
N.Z.A. Dated 11th April, 1934.
