PALMERSTON NORTH CITY COUNCIL.

In the matter of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932-33, and in the matter of the Palmerston North City Loans Conversion Order, 1934 (No. 2).

I, AUGUSTUS EDWARD MANSFORD, Mayor of the City of Palmerston North, do hereby certify that pursuant to the provisions of subsection (2) of section 9 of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932-33, a resolution was duly passed at a special meeting of the Palmerston North City Council held on the 13th day of April, 1934, and was duly confirmed at a special meeting held on the 30th day of April, 1934, after the place fixed for such second meeting and the purport of the said resolution had been advertised as required by the said section.

Such resolution provided for the issue in accordance with the provisions of the Palmerston North City Conversion Order, 1934 (No. 2), of new securities in conversion of existing securities issued in respect of the loans set forth in the New Zealand Gazette No. 22 of the fifth day of April, 1934, pages 933 to 935, inclusive.

AMNERS LIME COMPANY, LIMITED.

IN LIQUIDATION.

PURSUANT to the provisions of sections 234 and 300 (7) of the Companies Act, 1933, Amners Lime Company, Limited, a private company having its registered office at Napier, and now in voluntary liquidation, hereby summons a meeting of its creditors, and hereby gives notice that a meeting of the creditors of the company will be held at the offices of Messrs. McCulloch, Butler, and Spence, Public Accountants, Tennyson Street, Napier, on Monday, the 7th day of May, 1934, at 2.15 o’clock p.m.

BALCLUTHA BOROUGH COUNCIL.

Extract from the minutes of proceedings of the Balclutha Borough Council at a meeting of such Council held on the 28th day of March, 1934.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932-33, and the Balclutha Borough Council Loans Conversion Order, 1933, and all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Balclutha Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

“That, for the purpose of providing the half-yearly instalments of principal and interest in respect of the new securities authorized to be issued by the Balclutha Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act and Order in conversion of existing securities issued in respect of the following loans: The Balclutha Borough Council River-protection Loan of £2,600, 1913; the Balclutha Borough Council River-protection Loan of £500, 1914; the Balclutha Borough Council River-protection Embankment Loan of £1,000, 1920; the Balclutha Borough Council Municipal Swimming-baths Loan of £1,500, 1922; the Balclutha Borough Council Municipal Swimming-baths Supplementary Loan of £150, 1923; the said Council hereby makes and levies the special rate of one penny and one-tenth of one penny (1-1d.) in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Balclutha, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such securities and be payable annually on the 1st day of September in each and every year until the last maturity date of such securities, being the 1st day of April, 1955, or until all such securities are fully paid off.”

The common seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Balclutha was hereto affixed at the office of and pursuant to a resolution of the Balclutha Borough Council in the presence of—

NOTICE OF FINAL MEETING.

NOTICE is hereby given pursuant to section 232 of the Companies Act, 1933, that a general meeting of the members of the above-named company will be held at the offices of Cottrell and Lovell, Solicitors, Westport, on Thursday, the 24th day of May, 1934, at 11 o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of having an account laid before the company showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the Liquidator, and for the purpose of passing an extraordinary resolution disposing of the books and documents of the company and of the Liquidator.

Ordinary Weekly Gazette: For the first 32 pages, 9d., increasing by 3d. for every subsequent 16 pages or part thereof; postage, 1d.

Supplementary and Extraordinary Gazettes: For the first 8 pages, 6d.; over 8 pages and not exceeding 32 pages, 8d.; increasing by 3d. for every subsequent 16 pages or part thereof; postage, 1d.

Advertisements are charged at the rate of 6d. per line for the first insertion, and 3d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertion.

Statements under the Mining Act are uniformly charged 23s.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible hand.

The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 12 o’clock of the day preceding publication.
