WAIPA COUNTY COUNCIL.

In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1928.

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Waipa County Council proposes to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a public road—for which purpose the following lands require to be taken by the said Waipa County Council under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1928 (that is to say)—

1. All that piece of land containing 2 roods (more or less), being part of Lot 1 on deposited plan No. 23786, being portion of Maungatautari 4f Section 1 Block. As the same is delineated coloured blue on a plan lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Auckland under No. 27362.

2. All that piece of land containing 2 roods 19·2 perches (more or less), being part of the land on deposited plan No. 14950 and part of Wharepuhunga 7c Section 3 Block. As the same is delineated coloured red on the plan lodged as aforesaid under No. 27362.

3. All that piece of land containing 0·57 perches (more or less), being part of the land on the said deposited plan No. 14950 and part of Wharepuhunga 7c Section 3 Block. As the same is delineated coloured red on the plan lodged as aforesaid under No. 27362.

4. All that piece of land containing 5 perches (more or less), being part of the bed of the Owairaka Stream adjoining the land firstly above described. As the same is delineated coloured yellow on the plan lodged as aforesaid under No. 27362.

5. All that piece of land containing 2 perches (more or less), being part of the bed of the Owairaka Stream adjoining the land secondly above described. As the same is delineated coloured yellow on the plan lodged as aforesaid under No. 27362.

A plan of the lands required to be taken as aforesaid is open for inspection at the office of the Waipa County Council, in Bank Street, Te Awamutu.

All persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-founded objections to the execution of such works or to the taking of such lands and to send such writing to the Waipa County Council, Bank Street, Te Awamutu, within forty days from the date of the first publication of this notice.

PALMERSTON NORTH CITY COUNCIL.

In the matter of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932–33, and in the matter of the Palmerston North City Loans Conversion Order, 1934 (No. 1).

I, AUGUSTUS EDWARD MANSFORD, Mayor of the City of Palmerston North, do hereby certify that pursuant to the provisions of subsection (2) of section 9 of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act, 1932–33, a resolution was duly passed at a special meeting of the Palmerston North City Council held on the 13th day of April, 1934, and was duly confirmed at a special meeting held on the 30th day of April, 1934, after the place fixed for such second meeting and the purport of the said resolution had been advertised as required by the said section.

Such resolution provided for the issue in accordance with the provisions of the Palmerston North City Conversion Order, 1934 (No. 1), of new securities in conversion of existing securities issued in respect of the loans set forth in the New Zealand Gazette No. 22 of the fifth day of April, 1934, pages 925 to 932, inclusive.
