Amending an Order in Council authorizing the Uawa County
Council to erect Electric Lines in Portion of the Uawa County.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 27th day of
April, 1934.

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. G. W. FORBES PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him
by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other
power enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the Order in Council
dated the twenty-first day of July, one thousand nine hundred
and thirty, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 53,
of the twenty-fourth day of the same month, and doth hereby
amend the Order in Council dated the fourteenth day of July,
one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four, and published
in the New Zealand Gazette No. 48, of the seventeenth day of
the same month, authorizing the Uawa County Council to
erect electric lines in portion of the Uawa County, by revoking
clause three thereof (charges for electrical energy) and sub-
stituting therefor the following clause, viz. :—

“3. CHARGES FOR ELECTRICAL ENERGY.

“THE maximum charge for electrical energy shall not exceed
1s. 6d. per unit for lighting purposes and 1s. per unit for
motor-power, heating, or cooking purposes: Provided that
‘lighting purposes’ shall include the operation of motor-
generators for lighting purposes; and provided further
that from and after the 14th day of July, 1940, the maximum
charge for electrical energy shall not exceed 1s. per unit for
lighting purposes and 6d. per unit for motor-power, heating,
or cooking purposes.”

Authorizing the Grey Electric-power Board to construct Electric
Works.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 27th day of
April, 1934.

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. G. W. FORBES PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by
section seventy-six of the Electric-power Boards Act,
1925, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this
behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion
of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby
authorize the Grey Electric-power Board, subject to the con-
ditions hereinafter set forth, to construct the works indicated
in the plans and documents marked P.W.D. 74931, and
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, for the purpose of enabling the Board to use
water for the purpose of generating electrical energy.

CONDITIONS.

  1. THE works hereby authorized shall be constructed so as to
    comply with the Electrical Wiring Regulations, 1927, and the
    Electrical Supply Regulations, 1927, or any regulations made
    in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor, which
    regulations shall be deemed to be incorporated herein.

  2. The Board shall substantially complete the works hereby
    authorized within a period of one year from the date of this
    Order in Council, or within such further time as the Minister
    may allow in the event of the work being delayed by strikes,
    lockouts, breakdowns, or other unavoidable causes not due to
    any neglect of the Board.

Declaring Portion of a Road in Block XXI, Hundalee Survey
District, to be a Government Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 27th day of
April, 1934.

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. G. W. FORBES PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by
the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in
anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the
portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and
after the date of this Order in Council, become a Government
road.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the portion of road declared to be a
Government road: 46 acres 0 roods 39 perches.
Adjoining or passing through road adjoining Lots 1 and 2,
D.P. 579.

Situated in Block XXI, Hundalee Survey District.

In the Marlborough Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 86852,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Directing the Sale of Land under the Public Works Act, 1928,
in Block XIV, Waihua Survey District.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 27th day
of April, 1934.

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. G. W. FORBES PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon him by the Public Works Act, 1928, His
Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby direct
the sale of the land described in the Schedule hereto, such
land being no longer required for the public work for which
it was taken.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land directed to be sold:
1 acre 2 roods 12·5 perches.

Being part Lot 2, D.P. 2612, being part Waihua 1b, Block
XIV, Waihua Survey District (Hawke’s Bay R.D.). (S.O.

(sheet 3), deposited in the office of the Minister of Public

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon
him by the Cemeteries Act, 1908, His Excellency the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, doth hereby delegate to the several
Councils of boroughs and Councils of counties named in the
first column of the Schedule hereto the powers conferred
upon him by section four of the said Act of appointing and
removing trustees (including trustees heretofore appointed)
in respect of the cemeteries respectively specified in the
second column of the said Schedule opposite the names of
such Councils by the names by which they are generally known
