Declaring a Portion of Railway Land at Papakura to be Crown Land.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section thirty-five of the Public Works Act, 1928, it is provided that in the case of any land taken, purchased, or acquired for a Government work, and not required for that purpose, the Governor-General may, on recommendation by the Minister, by Proclamation declare such land to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1924, and thereupon the land may be administered and disposed of under that Act accordingly :

Now, therefore, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by section thirty-five of the Public Works Act, 1928, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act, 1924.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land : 1 rood 21·13 perches. Portion of railway land (Crown land, Opaheke Parish), Block IV, Drury Survey District, Papakura Town District. (S.O. 27453, blue.)

In the North Auckland Land District ; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 2880, deposited in the Office of the Government Railways Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 16th day of January, 1934.

Land set apart as a Provisional State Forest.

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section eighteen of the Forests Act, 1921–22, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the land described in the Schedule hereto as a provisional State forest.

SCHEDULE.

WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT.—WESTLAND FOREST-CONSERVATION REGION.

ALL that area of national-endowment land, in the Westland Land District, containing by admeasurement 465 acres, more or less, situated in Block IV, Okarito, and Block I, Wataroa Survey Districts, and bounded generally as follows: Commencing at the most western corner of Section 2993; thence running northward 7950 links to the south-western corner of Native Reserve 22; thence along the southern boundary of Native Reserve 22, 4135 links, on a bearing of 135°; thence 9852 links, bearing 105° 3′ to the western boundary of Section 3027; thence along the western boundary of Section 3027 and along this boundary produced to the northern bank of the Waitangi-taona River, 1405·8 links; thence westward along the northern bank of the Waitangi-taona River to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Section 2993 produced; thence to and along the eastern, northern, and western boundaries of Section 2993, 1720 links, bearing 15°, 2063·2 links, bearing 285° 4′, and 1900·7 links, bearing 195°, to the point of commencement: Be all the aforesaid measurements more or less. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 131/8, deposited in the Head Office of the State Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 17th day of January, 1934.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as closed the road in Hillend Survey District described in the Schedule hereto.

ROAD CLOSED.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road closed : 1 acre 3 roods 24 perches.

Adjoining closed road and passing through Section 72, Block III, Hillend Survey District.

In the Otago Land District ; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 36/225, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, under No. 2668, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 17th day of January, 1934.

Revoking the Setting-apart of Crown Land for Selection by Discharged Soldiers, under Special Tenures, in the Otago Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by section three of the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Amendment Act, 1919, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the Proclamation made on the twenty-ninth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and sixteen, and published in the Gazette of the fourth day of May then instant, setting apart lands for selection by discharged soldiers under the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act, 1915, in so far as it relates to the land in the Schedule hereto.

Waitaki County.—Benmore Survey District.

RUN 559 : Area, 1,006 acres 2 roods 23 perches.

Settlement Land in Canterbury Land District proclaimed to be National-endowment Land.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by section forty-nine of the Land for Settlements Act, 1925, it is enacted that the Governor-General may by Proclamation declare any land acquired under that Act to be, inter alia, national-endowment land available for disposal under the Land Act, 1924 :

And whereas it is deemed expedient that the land described in the Schedule hereto and which was acquired under the Land for Settlements Act, 1894, shall cease to be settlement land and become national-endowment land for disposal under the Land Act, 1924 :

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities so conferred upon me by the aforesaid section forty-nine, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that from and after the date of the gazetting hereof, the land described in the Schedule hereto, which was acquired under the Land for Settlements Act, 1894, shall be national-endowment land available for disposal under the Land Act, 1924,
