passed by the Masterton Borough Council on the eighteenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-three, viz. :-

“ That the Masterton Borough Council, being the local authority having control of Bentley Street, by resolution agrees to exempt that portion of the said street tinted pink, fronting Lots 59, 62, and 65, D.P. 38 (being part Section 58, Masterton Small-farm Block), from the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928 ”;

subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the southern side of the portion of Bentley Street (described in the Schedule hereto) within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portion of street.

SCHEDULE.

THE southern side of all that portion of street, situated in the Wellington Land District, Borough of Masterton, known as Bentley Street, fronting Lots 59, 62, and 65, D.P. 38, being part Section 58, Masterton Small-farm Settlement. As the said portion of street is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 86064, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

The South-eastern Side of Portion of Evans Street and the South-western Side of Portion of Windsor Street, in the City of Dunedin, exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act, 1928, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 12th day of December, 1933.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.

I N pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1928, and of all other powers in any-wise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Dunedin City Council on the twenty-fifth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-three, viz. :-

“ That the Dunedin City Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the City of Dunedin, by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and twenty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1928, shall not apply to the undermentioned portions of streets in the said City of Dunedin, viz.—

“ (a) Portion of the south-eastern side of Evans Street abutting on Lot 39 and part Lot 36, Block II, Township of Opoho ; and

“ (b) Portion of the south-western side of Windsor Street abutting on Lot 39 and part Lot 38, Block II, Township of Opoho ;

as the said portions of street are more particularly shown on on the plan annexed hereto and are thereon coloured brown and edged with red to their centre-lines ”;

subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the south-eastern side of the portion of Evans Street or fronting the south-western side of the portion of Windsor Street (described in the Schedule hereto) within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-lines of the said portions of streets.

SCHEDULE.

THE south-eastern side of all that portion of street, situated in the Otago Land District, City of Dunedin, known as Evans Street, fronting Lot 39 and part Lot 36, Block II, Township of Opoho.

Also the south-western side of all that portion of street, situated in the said land district and city, known as Windsor Street, fronting Lot 39 and part Lot 38, Block II, Township of Opoho.

As the said portions of streets are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 86562, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Notifying the Proposed Exchange of Crown Land in the Wellington Land District for other Land.

BLEDISLOE, Governor-General.

W HEREAS by section one hundred and sixty of the Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the Governor-General, whenever he deems it expedient in the public interest, to grant in fee-simple any area of Crown land which is subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1924, in exchange for the fee-simple of any other land, and on any such exchange to pay or receive any sum by way of equality of exchange :

And whereas in the opinion of the Governor-General it is expedient to exchange the Crown land described in the First Schedule hereto for the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, and the owner of the land described in the Second Schedule has agreed to such exchange.

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the aforesaid powers and authorities, doth hereby declare it is his intention to grant in fee-simple the area of Crown land described in the First Schedule hereto in exchange for the fee-simple of the land described in the Second Schedule.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

DESCRIPTION OF LAND AUTHORIZED TO BE EXCHANGED.

ALL those pieces or parcels of land in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 8 acres 3 roods 7·8 perches, more or less, being Sections 1 and 2 and parts of Sections 3 and 4, Block VI, Ongo Survey District. As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked 61/36, deposited in the Wellington District Office, Department of Lands and Survey, and thereon bordered purple.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

DESCRIPTION OF LAND TO BE OBTAINED IN EXCHANGE THEREFOR.

ALL those pieces or parcels of land in the Wellington Land District, containing by admeasurement 9 acres 0 roods 4·1 perches, more or less, being parts of Lot 2, D.P. 3449, part of the Hapopo Block, situated in Block VI, Ongo Survey District. As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked 61/36, deposited in the Wellington District Office, Department of Lands and Survey, and thereon bordered green.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 8th day of December, 1933.

I N pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by the Health Act, 1920, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare the disease called or known as

Puerperal fever, involving any form of puerperal sepsis other than or in addition to puerperal septicaemia and puerperal sapraemia,

to be an infectious disease within the meaning of the said Act.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 2nd day of December, 1933.

I N pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by the Health Act, 1920, I, Charles, Baron Bledisloe, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby declare the disease called or known as

Puerperal fever, involving any form of puerperal sepsis other than or in addition to puerperal septicaemia and puerperal sapraemia,

to be a notifiable infectious disease within the meaning of the said Act.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 8th day of December, 1933.
