PURSUANT to the Mining Act, 1926, the undersigned William Allison, of Ohai, Storekeeper, William John Taylor, and James McDermott, both of Pahia, Miners, hereby apply for a license for a water-race, as specified in the Schedule hereto, the course whereof has been duly marked out for the purpose.

SCHEDULE.

Locality of the race, and of its starting and terminal points; also description of land traversed, e.g., unalienated Crown land, private land, or otherwise: Commencing at a point in Section 5, Block XII, Longwood District, at a peg marked WR and running thence in a south-westerly direction to the boundary-line between said Section 5 and Section 6, said Block, and continuing in a south-westerly direction across said Section 6 a distance of approximately 40 chains to the dam-site on said Section 6 originally constructed by one Hucklebridge and now abandoned, and then continuing in the same direction through a dam-site along the course of an abandoned race last used by Anthony Tecoisky, across Section 2, Block XII, said district, and across Section 66 in a southerly direction until meeting the Onki Creek, and then following the course of such creek through Sections 66 and 64, said Block V, crossing the main Round Hill—Orepuki Road in said Section 64 by means of the existing culvert, and continuing in the said direction through said Section 64 and then through the properties of A. J. McPherson, Maximilian Tecoisky, and F. Church, to the applicants’ claim in Lot 3, Pahia Village. Unalienated Crown land and private land.

Length and intended course of race: 120 chains; approximately south-west from peg in Section 5, said Block XII.

Points of intake: Peg on Section 5, Block XII, Longwood, and all tributaries on eastern bank of Orepuki Creek.

Estimated time and cost of construction: 3 months; £300.

Mean depth and breadth: 3 ft. by 2 ft. 6 in.

Number of heads to be diverted: Six.

Purpose for which water is to be used: Mining.

Proposed term of license: Twenty-one years.
